For maximum benefits use FIT. Every set you do change up the Frequency Intensity, Time.
Week 1: (1 day rest between exercise) Day 1,2,3: 3 sets each 3 push ups below max. Each Day subtract the 'forgiven' push up
Week 2: (1 day rest between exercise) Day 1,2,3: 4 sets each 4 push ups below max. Each Day subtract the 'forgiven' push up
Week 3: (1 day rest between exercise) Day 1,2,3,4: 4 sets each 1 push ups below max. Each Day subtract the 'forgiven' push up, then add.
Week 4: (1 day rest between exercise) Day 1,2,3: 3 sets each 3 push ups below max. Real Push-ups & subtract
Week 4: (1 day rest between exercise) Day 1,2,3,4: 4 sets each 1 push ups below max. Real Push-ups & subtract
Have a friend spot you.
These are just push ups, its advisable to work groups of muscles at beginning of exercise then focus on individual. Ex. Bench press, then biceps/ triceps.
