How to get rid of Pakistans Feudal System

I wanted to know the opinions of all the respected members of this forum about this certain topic which i think is the reason why our growth has been stunted. i would also like to know what all the members think can be done to implement comprehensive land reforms in Pakistan to get rid of this problem once and for all. Also do the members feel that as more and more people move to the urban areas the feudal lords will eventually lose there power.
thanx
I hope we have a lively discussion :pakistan:

Its simply by educating peoples !
In the same regard you may plz read the thread titled "analysis: On social inequality" generated by "fatman17" !

Plan 1 - Bugti Plan. Kill the Sardars

Plan 2 - Educate people to make them realize what their best options are (aka not mullahocracy or sardarism).

But Plan1 is quicker than Plan 2 which will take a couple more decades at least

Plan-1 sounds like a good plan

Time for serious action on this, the biggest curse.

The Qazalbash Waqf v. Chief Land Commissioner judgment by the Shariat Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Islamic Republic of Pakistan has in effect shut the doors of ‘land reform’ in Pakistan. Land Reforms have been declared "UnIslamic" ..... No "action" against this biggest curse possible now

As I've replied to this post of yours, Ulema Su will side with the powerful and that's also a major issue.

Their time will be up soon as well

Come on man the Sardars are not that bad. People should get a life instead pointing fingers at the cute Sardars. People show some respect here Bhutto did the first land reforms in Punjab and Sardars lost more than half of their land Nawaz did the second and Sardars in Punjab lost another half of their land now what you want take away all the land from Sardars. Please kindly leave this topic the poor Sardars are now left with only name and almost all the land has been taken by the Gov. Rather there should be a thread how to give big business to poor people who are making more money than the Sardars. This thread is totally not ethical every where there is a thread to hurt the land lords but no where there is a thread to hurt the business man. This is total injustice. I will protest against this thread.

That's some wishful thinking.

What we should be asking ourselves is that do we really need Institutions like Council of Islamic Ideology, or parallel apex courts like Federal Shariat Court and Shariat Appellate Bench ? What purpose do they serve other than giving Ulema Su unlimited powers ?

Interestingly, the Federal Shariat Court in its judgement (Dec, 1980) found nothing unIslamic about Land Reforms (by a majority of 4 to 1) .... It was the Shariat Appellate Bench (of the Supreme Court of Pakistan) which later overruled the Federal Shariat Court judgement in 1989, and declared that Land Reforms were unIslamic (by a majority of 3 to 2) ...

What happened between 1980 and 1989 ? Firstly, Ulema had been "added" to the Federal Shariat Court and the Shariat Appellate Bench (after 1982) ...... And secondly, the Cold War had ended and Socialism had fallen !! ... The world had changed and with the declaration that land reforms were prohibited by Islam, the Shariat Court had, in effect, declared the heart of the political agenda of the left in Pakistan to be un-Islamic.

When state appointed Men/Ulema begin to officially explore the meaning of God's law for the people of their own time, essentially, they are bound to get influenced by the prevailing local and global political realities. The whole idea of doing God's work is flawed, and it's best for the state not to involve itself with religion ...

We need good leadership first.

We need good leadership first.

No Messianic leader is coming, bro .... We need to change ourselves. Allah says in The Holy Qur'an:

"... Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition .." (13:11)

If anyone remembers the 1970's for example, the feudalism you see today is nothing compared to what it was back then. What changed it? The media played a very important role in the way of television dramas that always painted feudalism in a negative light. Also, education has become more widespread and also more contact with the outside world. A lot of Pakistanis live and work abroad and when the come back home they bring back ideas with them. Feudalism still exists but it is weakening year by year. The PPP vote bank may have tanked for a lot of reasons but one of them was that being a feudal doesn't ensure you votes anymore. Things are moving in a positive direction.

.
Urbanisation wont destroy rural feudalism, but is most certainly weakening it.

"Pakistan is urbanizing at an annual rate of three percent – the fastest pace in South Asia. The United Nations Population Division estimates that, by 2025, nearly half the country's population will live in urban areas."(http://www.dw.com/en/pakistans-urbanization-a-challenge-of-great-proportions/a-18163731)

Of course urbanisation will bring about new challenges, including urban crime and poverty, but as far as Feudalism is concerned, that practise is certainly being weakened as more and more people flee to towns and cities.

"... Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition .." (13:11)

Who are we to question and predict that no capable leader is coming? Allah is the greatest Planner of all.

A few years back, could you predict that Nawaz and these feudals will be panicking as they are today?
