The electricity circular debt is a grindstone around the neck of Pakistani State and its poor population with each consumer being forced to pay as substantial percentage of his monthly bill to pay off the circular debt. The solution is to pass a Resolution or an Act in the Parliament for opening negotiations with the IPP’s towards ending the idle power purchase agreements with them by giving them one-time incentive to take their plants to other countries such as those in Africa, Asia or Latin America. Those that want to stay in Pakistan will not be paid while not running their plants.

privatize electricity companies. if you do not pay the bills your electricity connection is cut off

is that too hard ? i know it is not easy in Pakistan :D
This is a perfect example why you 2 iq pajeets shouldn’t speak on matters way above your comprehension level. Stick to shitting on the streets.

This is a serious matter for the whole country. electricity circular debt to be paid to the IPP's is in billions.

you need to upgrade to computerized system that will work out each customers bill according to kilowatts used plus have ability to turn it off/on at a touch of computer button.

but this will not happen becuase those run these industry like it corrupt.

A great idea is solar panels which feed back into the grid which this electricity surplus can be sold at a cheaper rate to power hungry customers.

I know this is a serious matter, if the companies were private they would not have signed those deals with the IPP. Just a thought

The solar panels made in China are more valuable to Pakistanis than the J-10s, submarines, JF-17s

Not if the naked shitters next door are willing to invade you then it must be military protection priority.

.
how? simple. Stop expecting CPEC projects to help you. They were and are only to help China
Crush Pakistan Expand China is what CPEC stands for

The only solution towards reducing circular debt is to have a free market system for energy purchase, at the true price (not subsidy), and to curtail line losses and power theft.

Nothing else.

Focus on the economy, raising GDP percapita income............

This is the only solution.

When the GDP percapita is raised then the electricity bill can be raised as well. Increase the bill for the have and subsidize the have not is adopted by Indonesian gov for so long.

Instead of relying on China companies, why dont build the power plan by Pakistan SOE so that it can generate the industry while providing electricity infrastructure. Cut those Defense Spending. India will not dare to invade Pakistan as Pakistan has nuclear and all Muslim countries will boycot India energy supply if India try to invade Pakistan (very unlikely as it can destroy India economy)

PLN spent Rp200 trillion (13 billion USD) on local components in 2022

Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned electricity firm (PLN) spent nearly Rp200 trillion out of the total budget of Rp300 trillion on local products so far this year, PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo stated.

"Our spending reaches Rp300 trillion per year out of which Rp200 trillion is spent on the domestic industry," he noted while opening PLN Locomation 2022 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Wednesday.

He ensured local entrepreneurs, including suppliers of components to PLN present at the event, that recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic had begun, with demand continuing to increase.

"(During the pandemic) the suppliers of components to PLN might see their orders declining. Bismillah (in the name of Allah) Insya Allah (God Willing), the demand has begun to increase. Moreover, the increase in demand is beyond our expectation," he remarked.

PLN once faced a challenge when some of its components had not been produced domestically, and it had to import them. However, PLN always urged the government to facilitate the construction of factories producing the components.

With the operation of the factories, PLN will replace its imported components with local components, he remarked.

In addition, PLN will raise the passing grade of domestic components as part of the efforts to increase its local content rate (TKDN), he stated.

"We are looking forward to building a conducive ecosystem to collaborate and innovate," he remarked.

PLN's TKDN (local content) had reached 48.8 percent as of September 30, 2022, surpassing its target of 42 percent for this year, he pointed out.

Not that hard but requires political Capital as it's a Mutli faceted issue

Privatise discos, invest in transmission lines, end subsidy
