Well mititary planes ... well , ok .. these days surface to air is best option ...
But these are something only a army can afford ....

From air you can use a air-air missile form fighter plane.....

Anti Air guns ... but only for low flying birds , which the current generation of planes don't do often ...

Difficult question - hiting a plane in air with amunition is not east task , the best chance a fighter plane has is the missiles on board....

lol by reading the title of thread my first gut feeling was that this thread is about how to crash once own aircraft haha if it would have been so then my recomendations to u will b better to ask this from Indian air force they are best at it

You can never hit a plane precisely. Hitting it on the nose and the canopy is very tough. The missile usually hits the wings, the fuselage or he engines. Hittings the engines is the best bet.

Modern Airforces have missiles which when detonate in proximity of a plane , would simply take out major portions of planes , and these missiles make the kill in matter of seconds may be 1-5 second time frame to launch his eject seat ... once your plane is locked on you are pretty much dead meat


Also even if infront of a plane I would imagine the shrapnel from the missile explosion would enter the intake of a jet , and just block or fire up the jet engine , and the pilot would have to eject out -

I don't think anyone can pin point a specific part of a fighter plane , thats why BVR missiles come in handy as they make the kill for you or homing missiles etc & Radar plays a vital role who fires the first strike , if its a 5 vs 5 situation you might get 4 kills before your opponent even has chance to see you on radars -

Modern pilot is fast becoming obsolete and is getting replaced with super computers and tactical awareness software on board modern systems - May be in next 14 years or so we might see , SUPER FIGHETERS capable of motions that human body can't withstand -

Most Airforce schools teach you how to save your own life and avoid being detected by your opponents - so you get to learn special manuvers or patterns which you can use to avoid getting locked on in a close dog fight or maximize your chance of survial

Modern , fighters that can lock onto 4-5 planes from command units with in the fighter's avionics are no children's play , they can take out 4-5 planes in matter of 2 minute if left undetected. Planes like J10B and JF17 thudner are Vital assets to our airforce

No.
Proximity fuse doesn't increase the impact or the force of the missile, rather it increases the chances of the plane being it. And they are any day less powerful than missiles that actually hit the target.

Proximity fuses are only useful in grenades, mines and artillery, which are used to kill humans, because humans can die with little impact, but taking out a plane is another matter.

here is one funny but effective advice.
use pigeons to crash a plane.when a plane is flying low or taking off,make all pigeons to fly towards the plane.now when pigeon will come near to engine....u know what will happen.
but it involves constant training of pigeons and secondly no one can arrest u for crashing an aircraft.

damn what pigeons have to do with altitude.listen pigeons will fly in the way of aircraft and sucked up by the jet engine.and do some research pigeons can fly very high.
if u have seen the INDIANA JONES AND LAST CRUSADE,then haven't u seen how SEAN CONNERY crash the fighter plane using birds.
well better watch this..and think again this is the most effective way to crash an aircraft without using weapon.

and also the scene from INDIANA JONES in which plane is crashed by birds.
