How to counter Gulf threat to Pakistan's integrity ?

Gulf states need to decide when the shit really does hit the fan who will offer them nuclear umbrella.

UAE has an interest to keep "pressure points" on Pakistan vis a vis Balochistan esp. now that the Chinese are heavily involved in CPEC......it's obviously a welcome sign that Gwadar Port can pose a direct competition (read threat) to Dubai. Look in the long run - Dubai went BUST during the financial crisis and it wouldnt have gotten un-bust unless oil rich Abu Dhabi bailed them out. Pakistan is not reliant on just oil or financial/services sector to fund the economy (services does play a huge role though but not to that degree).

Former DG-ISI Lt. Gen. Pasha even confronted the UAE royals about the issue but they flatly denied it. It may not be a state policy per se but they clearly are averse to competition no doubt. Doesnt matter though b/c our success lies in policies at home, not in pleasing the UAE. We can agree to disagree, but separatist will simply not be tolerated and we'll thrash them wherever they exist and welcome those who abandon it (400 militants in Balochistan lay down arms on Independence Day - thenews.com.pk

Bahrain - it's inevitable....the Al Belooshi tribe of Bahrain are ethnic Baloch who became Arab-ized. Some of them are confused people longing to learn about identity. They dont even speak a single word of Baloch. Rather than brush shoulders with the right people (and given their lack of knowledge about Pakistan simply b/c of the more closed nature of their society) a small number of them become enamored by nomadic people who are fighters - like the BLA. Bahrain is just WAY too small and irrelevant to really matter though. It's a powerless country and involved in its own internal sectarian divisions to pose any threat to Pakistan. Hell - they were so desperate for added security they basically invited the Saudis to come invade them to protect the royal family (bin Khalifas).....their embassies were posting ads in Pakistani newspapers, offering huge compensations for former policemen and retired army to assist them on security matters

Saudi Arabia's only trouble in Pakistan would be the funding of certain extremist religious schools some with sectarian-political agenda and that's something that must be addressed bi-laterally and behind closed doors. I doubt they have anything to do with support of BLA simply b/c even though Pakistan refused to join the Yemen hostilities they still need us for certain security agreements. Plus the relations between their royal family and the Sharif family are extremely close, i doubt they'd sacrifice that.

1: Directly engage them diplomatically to make them stand down.
2: Ask Saudi Arabia at the same time to use its leverage over these kingdoms.
3: Engage with Chinese who have huge business interests in the gulf.
4: Diversify relations with Iran and synchronize strategy on BLA for help on Jindullah in return to counter these states diplomatically.

The Egyptians with much encouragement and desperation had the Saudis literally twist the Qataris by the testicles to stop support of the Muslim Brotherhood

We can and should do the same to ensure that irritant elements in the Persian Gulf dont support Pakistan's enemies

ISI must do a covert operation to take out BB.

Absolutely.....he's actually more valuable alive.

We need to do EXACTLY what the Turks did when their Special Forces captured Abdullah Ocalan. Textbook succesful operation. They still have him alive too and he's chirped like a bird im sure.

i dont think the gulf gives a shit about pakistan anymore. Yemen proved how unreliable the paksters were.

Gulf finally understood that the only one who can provide security is your own hands

Saudi Arabia never came under Inmediate threat nor did the holy sites. We had no mandate or obligation to get involved in a civil war that wasn't our fight. Besides the houthis have lost some of their gains anyways especially around Sanaa
