I have a JK, bought it for 12-1500 from karkhano couple of years back

I think this is more practical especially for the lesser outdoorsmen.

Sir je use of Iridum without NOC will get you a hello from the men in black waistcoats in Pakistan. Also this thread is aimed at people who like to spend their time in nature and doing things with their hands. Long before the advent of mobile phones and computers and supermarkets we were hunters and gatherers.

If it works for you fine, that's all that matters. Personally I am not a fan of hollow handle knives, they break too easily. :)

Mora's are good sturdy basic survival/bushcraft knives.

Sadly I really wanted to get a Pakistani knife but I couldn't see anything that was of quality.

Mora is NOT some shoddy knife company they are over a century old and still going strong.

that is a little underplaying Mora! their Swedish blades are one of the best! My friend still has his knife that he inherited and it was made in the 1920's! still going strong.

Read the end part of my post, there is no gold standard knife, even KBAR have lovers and haters.
I am not saying anything like that, all I am saying is that one knife to see you through all your needs, Mora Garberg fits in any scenario!

I have a mora garbera carbon steel knife and I totally agree you can just close your eyes and buy them and it will do you no harm!
What I really like about Mora's is the swedish edge which is a lot easier to sharpen as your don't need keep the right kind of angle while sharpening the blade... so you basically can get a more consistent edging from edge to edge. That handle is so easy to maintain and it won't break on you either. Most of the people who don't like mora's are because of their appearance (modest at best), but I love the practicality. Easy to maintain easy to clean, sharpen, holds the edge really well.

do you sharpen your knife? if yes how long does the sharpness last?

Yes I do sharp my knife, as a matter of fact you can see marks of sharpening. I don't use it much, maybe once or twice a year. Before use I sharpen my knife.
