Technical the head of state of the commonwealth (ir the british empire) is the queen, also double as queen of England, UK is actually part of commonwealth, the head of state of the UK is the prime minister, that is why the queen or king can never obtain a British passport

She reign the commonwealth, but she relieved her duty to the representative on each colony/territories

UK is comprise of England, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man and northern ireland

Did you even read the article beyond the "the queen is the head of state in United Kingdom

The fact that she is German is not the reason she does not have a British passport

In each British passport, the in slip of the passport wrote "Her Britannic Majesty require and request in the name of her majesty all those whom it may concern to allow whom freely...."

The passport is conferred by the her majesty the queen herself on behalf of her, so how would it make sense if a a part of the kingdom can grant her the passport on behalf of her own self? It would be over the power of England and United Kingdom to grant herself one

LOL, you know nothing about England :) I used to live there see my passport for what I wrote

You make me laugh, infact, I think that was a good job, the queen can't get an UK passport because she's German, can I use it?

UK's PM is the head of the government, not the head of the state. Queen is the head of state for countries in the commonwealth such as Canada, Australia, NZ and etc.

That's why I say technically.

The queen is the royal reign of not only the UK (UK only comprise of England, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland

The queen is the queen of Commonwealth realm and she is the queen of Britannia empire
However, she is also the queen of England, so technically you can call her the head of states of England and some extent the UK

No, you said that Prime Minister is the head of state for UK which is completely false. Unlike the POTUS who are both head of state and head of the government, UK's PM is only the head of the govenment, and when he is in other country he will be dealt with accordingly by his counterparts such as other PMs, Premiers.

Technically the queen is the head of state of Commonwealth realm, but in reality this role in other countries besides UK is filled by Governor Generals as the federal viceregal representative of the monarch.

You do realise we are talking about the same thing, right?

There are actually no in reality as I am talking about technically, and if you want to talk about in reality, the name of the country United Kingdoms actually were never exist...

As the monarch were conferred a title by seperating each parts to from the royal title, such as prince of Wales, duke of Edinburg and princess of Sussex or duke of York.

The head of monarch, the king or the queen were technical the united owner of those, and hence the British commonwealth, hence it was a commonwealth reign, one cannot be queen of the UK and Queen of the Btitish empire, as UK is part of British Empire.

So, technical, the country called united Kingdoms does not exist, that is, if you want to go there.

Well, I am not the one insisting that the PM being the head of state for UK

The video look more like about "How to become a head of government (President/Prime minister) in US, UK and China", it is apparent told from the Chinese perspective.

The path to become Chinese head of government is pretty unique in the world. Do the Soviet has a similar system?

Anyway, the Chinese system may be different from the Soviet Communist system in actual execution because of Chinese tradition. The current system has remarkable similarity to the traditional Chinese bureaucratic system of choosing some official through the imperial examination system. The imperial examination system is a national civil service examination system that was established in 605 AD and has been running in one form or another in China until today.

So you see, the current system is actually in practice, more or less a continuation of a tradition that has been running in China for over 1000 years.

For eg. do you know that in China, it is taboo for an official to be appointed as a head of a province that he was born and grow up in. Why? because it is traditionally so.

I think what the video is trying to say is this, the Chinese system is difference from the western electoral representative system. As far as choosing leadership is concerned., the Chinese system is at least more or less equal to western system, if not better. It is an equivalent and legitimate system when compare to western democratic system.

I think it capture what many Chinese including myself felt. China is unique and needs to find her own system of governance, western democratic system do not necessary suit China well.

China shall have that right of self-determination because after all, Chinese people would be the one that would enjoy/suffer the majority of the consequence.

Do I need to read further than "the Queen is Head of State of the UK"?

With regard to the passport – Goodness, you are such a dimwitt and wouldn't even know when a trolltrain hits you at 300 km/h.

In China, your father should be an official and then you have the opportunity to be president of China.

That isn't unique to China, just look how many political families there are in US. Just top of my head, Adams, Bush's families, both of them have father son as the POTUS.
