True, this caste, race and other types of discrimination should things of the past but unfortunately these things are very much alive and practiced, some places less some places more.

True, this caste, race and other types of discrimination should things of the past but unfortunately these things are very much alive and practiced, some places less some places more.

I won't mind as long as she's right for them (education & emotionally compatible)... I'm not from backward cast. I myself married an OBC (Other Backward Cast) woman.. I don't mind if they (I hv 2 sons) marry from different religion also, coz of this predicament from my family, I couldn't marry the love of my life 20 yrs ago..

Interesting. So 20 years ago, it must have been more difficult to marry someone outside of your caste. Is India hgng to eliminate caste all together?

Who would willingly give up reservations? SCs/STs or OBCs? Quota system has pretty much cemented caste. No political party would dare to touch this issue and we will be cursed with caste based politics/parties for decades to come.
