If not for the constant irritant that is TN.. Indo/Lanka relations would have gained higher dimensions.. Despite that irritation trade, and people to people (non TN) remains strong and at most times cordial.. Already trade/business links are among the strongest in the region.. SL is already a middle income country and is on a rapid pace to double it's GDP in 2016 to become a upper middle income state.. So Indo/Lanka relations especially business and trade is bound to get stronger

Lankans (Sinhalas and Tamils) are of Indian origin, They are our flesh and blood (ppl from Bihar, Orissa and Bengal are Lankan Singhalas) Ppl from Tamilnadi are lankan Tamils..

haha There's no issues for Indians to visit Sri Lanka. Our Police only catch TN Tamils who are violating tourists visa usage for their benefits, that also a random thing. No any strict rules for Indians here.

I have stayed in Tamil Nadu for 3 yrs and I feel that TN and Kerela are the only states that have majority of anti-srilankan feelings. Rest of the India is preety cool about it. LTTE was ur problem and u did whatever u had to. Even Prabhakaran was not a saint that all of us would mourn about him. What u read in papers about Indian sentiments about Lanka, is majorly tamil sentiment about Lanka and not India as a whole. Its the truth.

IF Odisha or west Bengal were neighbouring Lanka then Banglas and Odishian would be SInhalaese enemies too, its matter off proximity and history which you are ignorant off . BTW Pakistan is no enemy to Kashmir, Assam, Nagaland , Mizoram TN and Manipur but its an enemy to the rest of India
