Very well said brother. You see the problem with some so-called Muslims residing in the West is, their poor souls are crushing under the unbearable burden of proving themselves 'loyal' Westerners or American etc. They think the only way of proving their 'loyalty' to those countries is to adopt their respective cultures one hundred percent and sack their own religion, their own culture, and even their own language. I have seen many such kaaley American here in the US. I don't sympathize on their miserable state, but rather empathize. These poor souls are not even aware that the Americans view them as hypocrite and not trustworthy at all; if you can sack your religious and cultural identity to gain some monitory benefits from a second country, you'll do this again if you are shown some more green by someone else. Among the people from sub-continent, I have found Bengalis most loyal to their culture, religion (Muslim or Hindu), and language, than come the Indian, and in last come the Pakistanis.
I just can't figure out how to respond to this post. I have read your comments on many different issues and have found you to be fairly well balanced in your perspectives. Unfortunately, here we must part ways. You first thank a needlessly offensive post by Al-zakir where he calls this lady 'scum' because she chooses to live her life her way and not his. Then you come up with this gem where you take it upon yourself to comment on how immigrants must live in the U.S. and the West in general. Whether they adopt the American culture or stick with the culture of the country they left behind is a choice best left to the individual concerned. Rather then label them hypocrites, you need to wonder about the people going to the West for bettering their lives and then after enjoying the fruits of that land think nothing of bad mouthing the country and the values of the people there while all the time extolling the values ( imaginary in most cases) of the country that they thought nothing of leaving. This, Sir would be a better example of hypocrisy.
