How PUNJAB came to dominate the Army

Well, Banda Singh founded the first Punjab state 50 years before Adina Beg. Banda Singh had deep hatred for the Mughal subedar of Sirhind as the latter had executed young sons (aged 5 and 9) of the last Sikh guru.

Other than that his movement was generally supported by Punjabi peasants regardless of their religion as Banda Singh abolished Zimindari system. Mughal court records mention that 5000 Punjabi Muslims had joined the wretched army of Banda Singh.

Adina Beg too allied with the Sikhs (and even Marathas) against the Afghans. It wasn't about religion always
Adina Beg allied with Sikhs and Marathas only to benefit Panjab Adina Beg possessed a brilliant mind which he used in good affect against Sikh raiders, Afghans and the encroaching Marathas, All this was for the unity of Panjab. Adina Beg was the first true ruler whom united Panjab mentioning a maurader like Banda Singh is an insult to Panjab its like glorifying all the massacres he committed upon the people of Panjab.

And for this Banda Singh was eventually hanged to death as a criminal should be.

Ashoka's Mauryan Empire also expanded westwards and Punjab was the last to fall. The two largest and arguably the only pan-Indian Empires, Ashoka's and Brits', came through the East. As for Porus and Alexander, the Greek accounts are highly unreliable
Ashoka is a myth.

Watch from 22 min onward, very interesting historical analysis, despite being majority punjabi Muslims let a small minority of sikh brutally subjugate them for 70 years. The same attitude exists today where authorities and powerful are worshipped despite their oppressive behavior and downtrodden helpless are crushed and no one e rebels or stands up against them.

Punjabi Muslims have been fooled and taken advantage by their Sikh brethren, English masters, feudal lords and Gaddi nasheen pirs more than anyone in history.

Punjabi muslims as a fact had it best under Khalsa and later on the british, who allowed local punjabi rule under their sovereignty unlike afghans and other warlords.

Yes and backstabbers as well

No Punjabi leader ever nationalised peoples private business, even schools and handed them over to his cult , a sindhi shagoofa however did that . So who did "sir" shahnavaz betrayed to become what he became over night ?

Dude, okay do the following. Take all the taxes gathered. Remove excise taxes collected as port city, import/export, etc. look at just income tax, look at just GST tax, look at how much taxes are generated by the markets/bazaars in Karachi- compare that with Lahore.

Your argument explains part of the differential, sure, but it is lazy.

tax is generated by consumption of goods not by collecting revenues at port. Now check oil consumption, electricity, cement etc Anything you will pick up 70% of share will be from Punjab and 30% from rest of Pakistan.

Retail hardly pay any tax including Karachi shops. Total retail shop tax collection is Rs200b, 46% from Karachi. Even Rs200b is hardly 2% of over all revenue collection.

Plus income tax is based on where company is registered. See per capita income tax of Islamabad, 8-10 times more then Lahore and Karachi. While GDP of Islamabad is like 10 times less.

The usual quarters with their verbal diarrhea against Punjabis would be the first ones to cry if Punjabis replied in the same manner.

Khalsa was gang of bastard robbers, its no wonder Adina Beg almost finished them before sudden death from illness. British was boon for sikhs, they settled them in canal colonies of west punjab which was all punjabi muslim land. In 1947 these sikhs just moved back to their ancestral land. Apart from aroras/khatris who were natives of west punjab but didn't own land as they were shopkeepers.

British rule was god gift to sikhs and hindus.

So the Afghani arse licker is back in the thread with his anti Punjab venom...

Read up a little on Ranjeet Singh's empire and Army. Ranjit Singh was invited by Lahori Muslims (Arains) to rid the city of Bhangi/Kanhiya misl Sikh tyrants who had been ruling Lahore for 30 years. Muslims helped him conquer the city (and he generously rewarded them). Ranjit Singh built a few new mosques and restored some others (Sonehri mosque for example) in the city. He wasn't a 'mosque-destroyer' as alleged by some, but Sikhs generally hated Mughals (as the latter had killed Sikh gurus) and were not very fond of Mughal structures. Badshahi mosque was seen more as a symbol of Mughal legacy (than a Muslim worship place) by Sikh rulers. Ranjit Singh otherwise was generally tolerant of all religions (including Islam). He had many Muslims in his Army, his foreign minister and home minister were muslims (Faqeer family of Lahore). He set up separate courts for Muslims (and appointed Nizam ud din as chief Qazi) and so on ....

He, however, was brutal towards your Afghani ancestors and subjugated the barbarians
That guy is not Afghani, he is Muhajir

Look here is the narrative- it’s pretty straightforward and it lays out how different groups feel they are discriminated, that they give more and receive less:-

Karachi people: feel they pay taxes and bankroll the rest of the country but don’t get enough funds for our own city- before or after the 18th amendment. Might be wrong but that is the narrative.

Sindh people: feel that the water is not shared as per past agreements and that Punjab consumes more water than agreed.

Baloch people: feel that the resources they provide to the rest of the federation they do not get adequate recompense for it, ie Sui gas.

KPK people: complain that they were drone striked but no one cared then.

Punjab people: would love to understand how exactly the state has screwed you all over.
KPK has no right to complain about drone strikes after being the primary source of terrorism and providing a safehaven for terror groups like TTP in the past, due to personal sympathies thereby keeping the country bogged down.

Pakistan is Muhajiristan.

Punjab has been screwed over as alleged by my post below:

Punjabi genocide is real. Punjabi hatred is real. The Punjabis have been neutered. The Muhajirs, Pashtuns, Baloch and Sindhis are teaming up against the Punjabis in a multi-pronged and multi-directional attack on both kinetic and non-kinetic front.

Your province is being invaded, your taxes are being siphoned, your identity, language and culture is under direct dehumanisation and the liberals are playing their full part to justify it politically. Lahori elites and the woke activists are the allies of the enemies of Punjab. Imran Khan is playing his part in Punjabi genocide and had planned to flood Panjab with "masoom" Afghanis, and the liberal woke brigade would justify it.

It's not long left till Punjab will be renegaded to something similar to Karachi, where everyone else will demand authority and perks in the land and the natives will be sidelined. There will be discussion on who it truly belongs to - the Punjabis or the countless soft invaders changing the demographics?

Has Punjab fallen already, or is there still time to save it? @Maula Jatt

I fear the people are right to assume Punjabis as the political "white people" of Pakistan, in the sense that we all know the white people in the west are correct in reality but just not politically, but we know they couldn't defend their land from the cultural invasion and demographic altering. Punjab's time is next.

The Afghans did allow local feudals to maintain sovereignty, Muslim sovereigns did generally try to practice the policy of allowances towards other Muslims based upon shared faith even if there was obvious favouritism towards their own ethnicity.

Afghan administration's main issue was that it was simply dysfunctional. The Mughals were much more orderly and that's why Adina Beg, Waris Shah and others had a liking for them over co-ethnic Sikhs that didn't administer Islamic law.

To be honest the only region in South Asia which gave rise to Great Empires is Bihar , most notably the Maurya and Gupta Empire
Punjab and Sindh has always been a punching bag for Afghans , Turks , Arabs and Persians
when Muslims invaded Punjab 65% Punjab accepted islam
under British rule when Bihar regiment , Maratha Regiment , Oudh Regiment and several other regiments from North East mutined against British , Punjab regiment chickened out and sided with Britain that was the reason why 65% of the cadets in British Indian army were punjabis after the mutiny of 1857

Mughals literally had Punjabi governor's, generals, ministers - so the local part is off with the Mughals as I consider them a larger south Asian Muslim empire with origins from outside but couldn't function one day without Muslims- bunch of their lagendary generals were Punjabi for instance, Thier culture was largely indic Muslim and a good chance was Mughal governor's of our region were locals not only that served in other regions too like a general serving in a tricky, newly acquired region

Before that except for Turkic, Afghan dynasties others were ours - but to say anyone had it good in middle ages anywhere in the world is lolz- it was controlled by hereditary clan chiefs, lord's etc, English peasants had it the worst if anything if talking in the global sense

Khalsa was good for Hindus or probably Sikh but that barely lasted 50 years max- religious freedom cause my great grandfather khokhar from Lahore converted to Islam at the time if family stories are right

IDK about the rest

Whether you agree with me or not but The fact is that 65% of Punjab was conquered humiliated and forced to accept islam
There is no history of empires from Punjab and that’s the reason why claim that Mongolians were Punjabis , Afghans were punjabis , Arabs were punjabis and so on

when Muslims invaded Punjab 65% Punjab accepted islam
Because it's superior and it really shows something about the character of the Punjabis and Sindhis, either a higher level of intellect or they don't have strong level of cope based in denial

Even the notion of "forced" conversions is just more cope, Islam spread to the masses through preachers and Sufis.

Plenty of robbers and thieves have come across punjab from foreign lands and ruled and stolen wealth from here, Khalsa was totally indigenous punjabi rule, first and only time in history Punjab wasnt being looted by foreign masters.

Sikhs punjab were among the last to be subdued by british and punjab was once again enslaved by foreign ideology and power.

Talk about canals, who did the british gift it to while leaving, was it also an award for being loyal subjects?
