How Pakistan’s military offers the Gulf much more than boots on the ground

Pakistan should forge 5 eye alliance with GCC/Turkiye/China just like US has with anglo saxon countries.

The U.S alliance with these countries is not only based on shared geopolitical interests but also the shared values of western civilization as they call it.

This is not the case with GCC/Turkey/China....all of these countries have vastly different systems of government but main thing is different goals.

The Saudi goal of containing Iran will never be shared by China similarly Chinese expansion into the SCS will not have blind Saudi backing at the expense of its other very important allies. The Saudi king was just in Japan.

It's better for us to focus on these relationships in a more individual level with each country separately.

. .
A war in the ME i.e. between GCC & Iran is becoming more inevitable by the day.

Pak must do everything in its power to bring these proxy-waring factions to the negotiation table.

This has direct implications for Pak's National Security.

And this coming war has nothing to do with religion but more so with power and influence. Secterian religion is just the smokescreen for the masses.

If such a war happens Pak will be vulnerable from both the Western and Eastern borders, because it is the same enemy sitting on both sides.

War in Yemen and SyRaq is a proxy war between these two forces with added inclusion of NATO and the Rus.

Pak needs a non-emotional, cold and rational thinking to make sure that Pak's national interests are not harmed.

GCC needs to cooperate with Pak on equal footing. The time has gone when Pak was dependent on GCC handouts.

With the completion and operationalisation of CPEC Pak will be truly a military and economic powerhouse down the road...just give it a couple decades and a peaceful environment free of indian terrorism.

First step, however, is the purchase of weapon systems and services from Pak MIC.

Qatar can buy a few sqaudrans of JF and the related packages. So can Bahrain, SA, Oman and even UAE. And let us not forget Iraq also. SA can even produce it locally and give to its allies as well.

Tread carefully but act with boldness in your own National Interests!

The fundanmental relationships are not built on one instances perhaps this will help you understand UAE/india relationships

https://www.adnoc.ae/en/news-and-me...ment-for-strategic-crude-oil-reserve-in-india

Remittances to India from the GCC declined by 2.2 per cent to US$35.9 billion in the 12 months to March

So there is much more to strategic

Poor Modi! He rushed to UAE for kissing Sheik's feet after Pakistan refused to become a party in Yemen war and one of the UAE ministers vented his disappointment through a silly statement. Modi thought that was a good time to exploit the situation and fish in the troubled waters. But obviously, Indians have a limit on what they can offer to gulf states (other than ultra-cheap labor). Strategic impulsions have a course of their own. New developments amount to a slap on the face of Modi and company.

The problem is common public of Pakistan are unable to see all out support of these countries against India in favor of Pakistan..This is where the interest are conflicting...
General Bajwa has reversed all decisions of General RS...2 lakh banday with a gun in hand will now count total no of country populations...LOL

It is unrealistic to expect these countries to support Pakistan against India
I doubt the Pakistani public is that delusional

Pakistanis just ask these middle eastern countries to send troops to fight along side you against TTP in operation zarb e azab .You will see there reality.how friendly they are.Even in 1971 no body came to help you from Arab instead Asian Muslim countries like Indonesia n Malaysia helped during war.

.
you Think India will provide them what Pakistan can?

India is wise and large enough to avoid supplying troops to prop these sheikhdoms

Indonesia offered help in 1965 not in 1971
Some Arab states offered help in 1971
No one is going to offer enough help to affect the outcome of the conflict

Bajwa is selling Pakistani Troops for some Plots in GCC .. and securing a Job after his retirement , RS should never have given command to this Arab Boot licker

But they take maximum economic benefit. I want to see what economic benefits Pakistan will get. So far only Kuwaiti investment come to Pakistan in terms of refinery

. . . . .
Other than Musharraf how many Pakistani army chiefs have settled abroad ?

there are many retired gen who are working in gulf armies and other sectors as adviser's , The Arabs can only respect those who have Gori Chamri and if you are their slave .. Gen Raheel gets famous on how he lead the Zarb-e-Azb, Bajwa knew even if he born again he won't be able to lead the Army the way RS did .. so bowing to Arabs will save him not just a good Retirement life and many other incentives.. and Pakistani General don't have to settle Abroad in order to bow down to Arabs or Americans..
