How Modi’s foreign policy is beating Pakistan

It is true that Modi may have one up on the Pakistanis.

But, India and its diplomats do not have the charisma, beauty, eloquence and charm of the Pakistanis. A professional Pakistani diplomat is heads and shoulders above the Indian counterpart.

Hina Rabbani Khar is just one example. The truth is many Indians (especially North Indians) are envious of the Pakistanis. They secretly admire their physical beauty, their (Punjabi) culture, their fashion, their music, their cricketers. Even in India it is the Punjabi culture that dominates above all others. And South Indians do not seem to have that deep seated hatred for Pakistan that infects the hearts of many others.

If only Pakistan can move away from the religious fundamentalism that appears to affect so much of life in that country, they would have an influence - a soft power - that would be able to conquer India. Until that happens India will likely have the upper hand.

Pakistan is atm is grappling with it's internal issues, Religious extremism and regionalism .. Which had become the priority.. You cant underestimate a nation like Pakistan when it comes to diplomatic issues in the region though.. They need to move away from disastrous policies of the Zia Ul Haq era, And get back to it's secular Muslim roots of what Jinna envisaged, So invariably Pakistan will regain it's status in the world
