How Israel backed media attacks you when you challenge ISRAEL in UN

The FM should have done his homework before showing up for the interview. That claim is largely considered anti-Semitic, accurate or not. Made himself look like an even bigger fool after backtracking to "its the perception"; he openly admitted that he was peddling hearsay. That hack of a journalist used age old "tropes" to trap him and he had no answers. This is the man we sent to champion Pakistan for Palestine?

This is not Pakistani domestic politics, you can't make up for your idiocy and incompetence by acting like a peacock. We had no one better than this blithering idiot?
Right we can do what PML-N was doing from 2013 to 2018 and not even have a foreign minister.

Sounds similar to the founding of Pakistan.
How?

  • Importing millions of European Jews, Polish, Russian, Ukranian, Moldavian etc to Palestine in West Asia because "god promised them the land" and erasing the native populatiion.
  • Punjabi, Afghan [Pakhtuns], Kashmiri, Sindhi and Baloch asking to federate their lands at the dissolution of British Raj.

Now or Never 1933.

Tell me how these two are similiar.

Absolutely not!

Where as Jews living outside of Palestine, for thousands of years, adopted the zionist policy.

In the case of Pakistan, these people had always lived in the same location for thousands of years. Persecuted by Hindus, just because they had accepted Islam. They then decided to fight for their own nation where they could be free.

And proud to say, we got our freedom, our dignity, and respect. And now we stand toe to toe with India. But let's not go off topic here.

Well, if one likes the taste of his favorite politician's cheeks then who cares if he's an incompetent buffoon who severely compromised the Pakistani efforts supporting the Palestinian cause.

Where did I say anything about "favourite politician"..... I'm just saying if you don't like the present strategy we could go back to the strategy of the previous government and not even have a foreign minister because that was working out so well for us.

And I am saying that yours is a fallacious argument, born from a desperate and corrupt desire to defend one's favorite politicians' buffoonery at the detriment of the country and the cause, i.e. not fit for an educated or honest debate.

Apart from the fact that the FM is not serving anyone's cause, if not compromising it.

He did nothing of the sort. Either you have completely bought into the anti-semitism trope, hook, line, and sinker, or you are criticizing SMQ just because you don't like him or his party.

Just because they say it is anti-semitism, doesn't make it so. He was referring to the influence of Israel as a state, not the Jewish people as an ethno-religious community.

But those who do not tolerate criticism of the Israeli state or government conveniently deflect any such criticism by terming it as anti-semitism. It may have worked in the past. It doesn't any more.

The Foreign Office has rightly pointed out that the journalist's response unfortunately confirmed SMQ's assertion.

Just so you can wrap your head around the argument, the equivalent would be saying that Pakistan has influence over the Taliban, which they say often, and no one is offended.

agree 100%. The bloody Angrez is to blame.

What do you expect when they study Shylock as their first introduction to anything called a Jew?

This anti semitism is for most Asians, a western ideology.
Do you know who else spent a bundle trying to influence Trump? It was the Gulf states, but instead of spending it on the Ummah they just spent it on themselves.

What about NGOs who go on preaching Jews killed Jesus?

True but the weight and how the international media values it also matters. It's not the same, when a spokesperson says something and a foreign minister says something. Like, I personally never paid any attention to what was being said by Dr. Muhammad Faisal in his tenure. Apart from something related to India, nothing really stood out or felt newsworthy. And even if you look from the perspective of news organization, who you would value more, getting your hands on a spokesperson of some FO or getting the chance to interview an FM. In an alternative world, if we sent some spokesperson of FO and not the actual FM, I can bet that CNN wouldn't even bother to invite him for the interview.

Not quite.

A) The weight and how the international media values anyone both come from the weight the Government of Pakistan throws behind him/her. "Special Representative to the UN for Palestine" would hold just as much weight as "Foreign Minister", a la Zalmay Khalilzad. No one outside of Pakistan gives Quraishi any weight, he is no one. As was obvious from the fact that that "journalist" kept addressing him as "Mr. Ambassador", which he then childishly snapped back at.

B) The other source of weight for the rep, and more importantly the cause, comes from what he/she puts across. A blithering idiotic who makes a fool out of himself and a mockery out of the cause is obviously a liability. And that is exactly what Quraishi has so far proven to be. The FM was strutting around the world playing the savior of Palestine and a two-bit journalist with age old fallacious arguments dressed him down and rendered him useless. And now the headlines read, "Pakistan FM invokes anti-Semitic slur". As they say, "Nadaan dost se dana dushman behtar hai".

Actually that's what the job of the FM is.

FM is supposed to be not a debate person. For that we have ambassadors and

No it's not. The FM's job is to formulate foreign policy. If he is not supposed to be a debate person then he needs to stay far away from debates. Or at least have enough sense to prepare for them before hand.

he specifically pointed this out to the CNN opinion maker.

After accepting to debate on international news.

ps: Moved the discussion here to reduce my fronts on the same subject.

I don't understand what was so anti semitic, clearly the Anchor had other motives, but Shah mahmood kept calm and highlighted Isreali barbarity. It seems if you talk about Isreali atrocities you are labelled as anti semite, which is beyond ridiculous to say the least.

Who must not forget the role of Bollywood in this indoctrination?

Pakistan FM invokes antisemitic slur
Discussing Israel's actions in Gaza, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Israel has "deep pockets" and "they control media," prompting strong pushback from CNN's Bianna Golodryga.

this bimbo just threw the term out of her hole at him because she didnt have any counter,
the guy Querashi by definition is a samite himself. criticism of someone is not hate,.
at this rate of overuse of antisemitism allegation both law enforcement and the justice system might be unable to charge and convict a criminal if he or she happens to be Jewish.
the way Israeli state has conducted itself vis a vis Palestinians has nothing to do with Jewish faith,.
