How India makes Parsi babies

There has been more concern by the non-Parsis and Indian government than by the Parsi authorities by themselves on decline of Parsi population. They have to loosen their rules and allow intermarriages.
this advt is slightly controversial

i don't want to lead the thread away but islam and sikhism are the most questioning ( from what little i know of sikhism ) and the simplest... islam is the closest to atheism.

many would say buddhism but it inflicts difficulties on its followers and does not present any real solutions or a concrete political/economic/social system.

having said that, no older religion ( i include sikhism too ) is suitable for future humanity.

Can you elaborate ? Or are you just making general comments without really knowing about the philosophy ? First of all it's not a religion but a philisophy/Way of life.. Especially one with such intricate and deep solutions

Do Parsees allow the non Parsee spouse and the progeny thereof into the community if he or she agrees to convert? Like Muslims.

Parsis do not accept non-Parsi spouse and their children. The Parsis also have sex discrimination where some intermarried couples only qualify for assistance if the husband is Parsi. Islam is a missionary religion and we accept all.

I think you mean "patrilineal" system?

So no conversion? That means they are like us to an extent.

They do not accept even the children of Parsi father and non-Parsi wife. In Islam anybody can convert to became a Muslim. The Muslim sects like the Bohras and the Agha Khanis are very strict in accepting new converts to their sects also. These exclusive sects are doomed in the long run.

1. by "inflicts difficulties" i meant the obsession of buddhists with ritualism, prayer and meditation which things are useless really and the meditator is not being contributing to society.

2. what deep solutions has buddhism for economic injustice, for example??

3. what do you mean by it being "a way of life"??

Good riddance. A community which think so highly of themselves to not even allow its intermarried daughters to attend their parents last rites!

Their whole community will vanish through their wierd customs.

They are highly Industrious people & it will be our misfortune to loss them

Only if they stop thinking very highly of only themselves. They seem to be suffering from some superiority complex. They deny Parsihood to any marrying outside their community.

Proud of my Country and my Government ...

When all the Countries in the world are trying to systematically reduce the Minority population by deporting them or sterilizing them...

My country cares even about the minutest community of our country ... Yeah Parsis we want you to survive and flourish ...

Unlike other minorities who eat, sleep on Indian welfare state and still wants Destroy the country, u my Parsi Brothers have always worked shoulder to shoulder with us in developing this country, which is urs as much as it is mine...

The world should know there is a country which would stand for the Zoroastrians... Yeah we Indians will represent them...

I agree with you on that point they should allow intermarriages

Very few of them left in India..They usually have one child, many prefer to stay unmarried or don't have babies at all.
Also, many Parsi girls have married outside their community, bringing down the numbers even further over the years.

A good example, Ratan Tata, the previous Chariman of Tata Group, he is a Parsi and he is unmarried.

After completing his schooling in Punjab and Sherwood College,Nainital, and achieving a distinction in the School Certificate examination of the Cambridge Board at the age of 15, he asked his father to let him to become a soldier. When his father refused to send him until he was older, in an act of rebellion, Manekshaw took the entrance examination for enrolment into the Indian Military Academy (IMA)[4] at Dehradun. He was successful and as a result became part of the first intake of 40 cadets on 1 October 1932.

You received three at this age; when I was of your age, I received nine bullets and look—today, I am the commander in chief of the Indian Army.” – During the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War when he met an injured soldier in army hospital with three bullet wounds.

On the military knowledge of politicians: "I wonder whether those of our political masters who have been put in charge of the defence of the country can distinguish a mortarfrom a motor; a gun from a howitzer; a guerrilla from a gorilla, although a great many resemble the latter." [27]
