How Does the Chinese J-20 Pose a Threat to U.S. Air Superiority

Chinese J-20 with fifth generation engines is an absolute threat for american interests in the pacific.

US allies in the pacific must be terrified with the idea China has already hundreds of them, if the same thing happens with warplanes like boats where China has a major pace of building than americans, so all pacific countrie smust surrender to China soon, or face terrible war.

US faces a problem,a real problem, time is running out against their interests, and just a war now can give some chances to the US to have some say in the pacific. But it can be already late.

Taiwan is lost forever, and it s question of time and a chinese decision to change all the maps of the pacific. US has a terrible future there.

Has the number already exceeded 200 units? I read something like this in an article that I don't remember where. This would pose a credible threat to US interests in the Pacific.

If it continues at this rate, they will have over 500 units by 2026(assuming 80-100 units produced annually), considering this production, the PLAAF will be able to match or exceed the USAF in the number of combat aircraft by 2030. Furthermore, while American forces still maintain some advantage, the technological gap between the two air forces will decrease significantly.

They will accelerate production for sure, we all know this. China does not waste time with stupidities, they have the know how and China stands for that things are worthy.

US can say bye bye to Taiwan and who knows if South Korean also thorugh north Korea proxy. Bad time awaits the US interests in pacific, really.

Hi,

Over time and in larger numbers---

Time---will narrow down the technology gap---.

Larger numbers will have an effect of force multiplier---.

The truth will come out in the first 24 hours of the combat---.

I think that nations like Japan and Taiwan should not hedge their bets on the US and stop acting like their pet slaves and have a backbone of their own---.

In the long run---china will still be their neighbor and the US will be thousands of miles away---.

Japan and Germany were still thousands of miles away back in the day. In fact, no major war was fought on American soil (NA) post-American Civil War.

China is not a sustainable country unlike the US which is still an attractive destination for migrants and is young compared to China, also, China is alone. Who are their allies? Russia?

What is you foolish statement that China is not sustainable ? Of course, only your white masters can do it, to you.

If you want to go there...

For any warrior, anyone with a weapon, including a child with a kitchen knife, is a threat -- IF THE CONDITIONS ARE RIGHT.

The US does take the J-20 seriously, but that does NOT mean we fear it. It is undeniable that there are large technological and experience gaps between US airpower and the rest of the world's air forces, we like it that way, and we work to at least maintain that gap if not widen it. What China did with the J-20 is to narrow somewhat the technological gap, and of course, we are concerned. But again, that does NOT mean we fear what China deployed because China has not done anything with the experience gap. Is the J-20 a threat to US ability to achieve air superiority? Yes -- if the conditions are right.

In which location? Are you saying it will be challenging for the US to achieve air superiority over Chinese skies but still achievable?

You have 1.4 billion people your population is falling your birthrate has plummeted. You don't welcome migrants from anywhere.

As for the white masters, nobody apes the West more than the Chinese do, so zip it.

World biggest industrial nation, manufacturing nation, trading nation, exports nation, surplus nation, agricultural nation, mining nation, shipping nation is not sustainable, while US, whose economy is being artificially floated by manipulating dollar, stock market and money printing is sustainable? what's wrong with your brain?

Sustainability is not about the past, it is about the future.

There is no problem with Chinese demographics, period, you Indians can have birth rates like rates and you people will end up starvation soon, fool. No other people worship the whites Anglo-Saxon as you Indians do as we know, you are the best lackeys to whites.

I really hope to know how the J-20 will fare against F-22 and F-35 as of NOW. I guess there is no way to know. If another 10/20 years pass, we will never know because the technological gap will be closed by then.

Assembly quality seems poor (rivets poorly flush, some uncutters...).
Canards non aligned with main wings.
=> probably not as stealthy as F22.
For me it's a stop gap long range fighter, not the chinese dark star.

You got everything except young population.
