What's new

How do you imitate animal noise in your language?

Dog : Khapey khapey
Hyena: Mai nahi manta Mai nahi manta
Donkey: Dhadley dhandley

.
Most of those sounds about right. But some are waaay off.

Ones that are off to me:

Dog: bow bow (what kinda dog is this?)
Cow: ambaa, GaanN
Chicken: kot koteek
Frog: Ker ker, kero kero (so Urdu and Japanese is similar but thats nowhere close to the noise a real frog make lol)

Some more Vietnamese:

Gecko: cac ke
Goat: dit meeee dit meeee
Frog: ca ve ca ve

A dog panting makes the sound bow bow. A cock in the morning makes the sound kokaru

Hyena: Mai nahi manta Mai nahi manta

Wrong.

A hyena says "chai pani"

Please my dear, be more respectful towards elderly people. Address me as Uncle, or if you are really young, you could call me Grandfather. Or just call me Father.

As for being Childish, the good Bible said,

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:3 NIV

When you reach my age, you too will think how you could enter heaven.

As for the intellectual level of my OP post. Its intellectual level is about the same as 95% of the posts in this section. I don't see it out of the ordinary.
