Why is that? It's a testament to the fact that objective morality comes from religion and religion teaches right and wrong. When you don't believe your actions will have any consequences, when you don't believe the dreadful place grave is and the horrors that are waiting there and you don't believe in a judgement day, you can be calm and happy doing whatever you want to whoever you like. Hey, when you die, there will be pitch black darkness anyway so nothing bad can happen, what's the worst people can do to you? Kill you towards nothingness?

What atheists have subjective morality. What society tells them and what their heart tells them is right and wrong rather than a divine being. We saw what that can do when the society right and wrong is controlled by a person and society is shaped by leaders and people. Hitler, Stallin, Mao, they all thought they were good people and doing good. But under the lens of religion, nope they were going against the will of God.
