@Hamartia Antidote
Thanks for your as usual detailed and well explained comment/reply. It helps.
I like it when I gather information from seasoned people. I consider it as a asset.
Sorry for late reply
Happy new year to you and your family...
Cheers from Karachi, Pakistan
No idea whether PIAIC is affiliated with NCAI
Thanks to all of you for your great answers...

Hehe....Pakloveturkiye and I have interacted fair amount outside of the forum....its bit more complex than that .
What I'm saying actually is with regards to "good prospects in the next decade" actually....i.e the envelope for cushy is going to shrink a whole bunch (esp in the top tier stuff)...so ppl have to shape up and pre-empt that

The world is changing at a far greater rate than we can anticipate 10 years. Any field of study you pick will see changes, but there are few subject which are highly likely to be replaced or transformed by technology. Go through following research. It will give you some idea

Second, if you want to understand what kind of education will be required in the future, watch this video by Sam Ovens. What we learn in College/Universities is only 1/5 (20%) levels of education required to be successful in life. Focus towards becoming a "full-stack person" as in the future, when subjects and jobs will shuffle a lot, a full-stack person is most likely to succeed.
May Allah help you get all you want and all you need in two worlds.
If you guys are interested you can also check out www.alnafi.com they are or rather going to offer these courses and also will finance micro Masters from edx. Their subscribe is only 2500 for the year. Check them out
Every discipline have its significance, but 'what type of skills' you equip yourself with, will influence your career prospects. Computing skills are a must, IMHO.
Pointers:
[1] Artificial Intelligence
[2] Internet of Things (Networks)
[3] Big Data
[4] Research (Publications)
[5] Quantum Computing
[6] Graphics designing
[7] Robotics
[8] E-commerce
In no specific order.
Great thread this one
May I share something.
If you want to know what jobs are in trending in Europe than this link is a good source.
As far as a stable career goes, it really depends on your own background and drive. Technical fields are a safe bet but they are also the ones that become really outdated in a few years so continuous education is a must.
Other than that, if you really want to move outside from Pakistan or your present place of stay, look towards China, Canada and EU (some countries.)
Best of luck.
That is great news!
I wonder what will be the role of NCAI. Is PIAIC any way affiliated with this?
No idea whether PIAIC is affiliated with NCAI
You want me to tell you how to enslave yourself to the system in Germany or Norway?
How to "study" to be a better slave and factory worker?
Nope, I don't deal with that...
But do you want to hear how to be free of the system and how you can get real wealth (freedom to live the way you want) and not be predisposed to misery.
Because money cant buy wealth, but it can make you awfully comfortable while being miserable.
And no that road doesn't need to go through any particular program or degree, which are completely irrelevant these days, except for the ones who feel comfortable within the sytem.
"The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education." - Albert Einstein
Ah, that's a pretty broad question whose answer would include too many fields. However, Engineering (especially mechanical and electrical) have always been the safest options for decades now. Always in demand and pays well too.
But to be completely honest, I wouldn't ever recommend joining a program or choosing a vocational field just on how well it might pay in the future. Areas where your interests lay are just as important as the field's future prospects. So you should pick the field that you are most interested in, decide the sort of work you see yourself doing for the rest of your life (e.g. field, research, etc.), then research programs in your fields of interest accordingly and only then pick the most promising program for the future.
Thanks to all of you for your great answers...
