How China trains its children to win gold? - standing on a girl's legs

.
only the toughest can stay,it's both parents and children's own choice,it's very hard to get into those schools and not cheap to stay there,if you can't physically and financially capable ,you will be eliminated, those kids train hard just to stay ,cause all of them have big dreams and ambitions.

Her face etched with pain, a child trains for Olympic glory while her gymnastics trainer stands on her legs.
The cartoon space rockets and animal astronauts on her tiny red leotard are a stark and powerful reminder of this little girl's tender age as she trains as hard as any adult athlete in the Western world.
Nanning Gymnasium in Nanning, China, is one of many ruthless training camps across the country to which parents send their children to learn how to be champions.

But while training techniques appear extreme to Western eyes, they provide an insight into why China's athletes at London 2012 seem so easily able to swim, dive, lift and shoot their way to victory.
Gymnastic stars are known for starting at an incredibly early age, and this group of children appear no different as they battled to complete the demanding routines on bars, rings, and mats.

Boys and girls who looked no older than five or six-years-old were tasked with swinging on beams, hanging from pairs of rings and bounding across floor mats during the physically strenuous training sessions.

The youngsters at the same training school will be hoping to emulate the success of 16-year-old swimming sensation Ye Shewin, who glided into the record books on Saturday night.
Only last January harrowing photographs were posted on the internet showing Chinese children crying in pain as they were put to work.
In case they had forgotten why they were there, a large sign on the wall reminded them. ‘GOLD’ it said simply.
Charges are often taught by rote that their mission in life is to beat the Americans and all-comers to the top of the podium.

China

Germany in the 1930s, the Soviet Union, East Germany, North Korea, China and others. These former and current fascist states (and modern China fits the definition) all used or use sport as a propaganda tool to legitimise their delusions of political or racial superiority.

The Chinese Communist Party actively promotes the myth that the Chinese are racially superior to all other people.

.
Bro, some of you are just blatantly China bashing with this communist crap.

Am not buying this time. Sorry.

Fine with me DOC . But the truth is CCP is using these things as propaganda tool that is the reality.

Are you talking about the ambitions and dreams of their parents or the 4 year olds

Hillarious man

come to China and we will see that how aspirant parents work hard just to get their children to those sports schools and music and dance schools, they pay a fortune just to get their children in,but if their children fail, they have to go home,no questions asked,it's always parents and children's own choice.

With or without Olympics there are beggers in this very world. Maybe millions in China and even more in India. For some people, less than 1% of population, it is just their talent to become professional athletes and pursuing stronger, faster and higher. What's wrong with it?

Don't be upset by the success China achieved. India hooray for every medal Indian athletes struggle to get, not just Olympics but Asian Games as well.

u think im Upset with China achievement, not a t all...its China which is paying this price not us.

all im saying is, for a few hunks of metal so many kids suffer simultaneous agony for there formative years , pipe the brutality down a little bring it to the level of America if u must ,they also do it somehow.

The way China is doing thing is really strange that they haven't won medals in every field.

The spirit of a single person striving through odds and succeeding and all tht romanticism adjoining sports just dies tht instant when u see so many Chinese kids sweating it.

ITs really just flushes the whole thing down , to just the laws of probability.

its unfair to the other competing countries.

Sounds truly capitalist and like anywhere in the West bro.

No state or party support at all? Come on .... !

.
Let me be clear with you, wining a Gold medal that is an honor and no one could deny it. This also no one will supporting to put young kid on this kind of training. Unlike China, Viet Nam does not has some lunatic training for its kids, even though Viet Nam really wants it.。。。

So what bro? Who cares?

Bottom line - China is winning medals.

And we are armchair mental masturbating with our socialist jholas.

It doesn't matter Doc check my earlier post any body can produce a gold medal by ruining 1000's of kids lives. We do have sporting achievements in cricket and Hockey without crossing the line called brutality.
Soon we will also get into that league we are improving and will reach there.

my girl friend is a professional dancer, she started training when she was barely 10 years old,and her parents paid a fortune to get her in,she cried a lot during the daily training and her parent warned her"if you can take it,we will get you back home" ,but deep inside they always want to be better than other kids, and she chose to stay, one of her classmate became the lead dancer in the Beijing Olympic games, the dance "飞天".

Sorry bro. Without a radical revamp of our sports (not cricket) infrastructure at all levels and our administration and planning, we will NEVER get there.

Take it from someone who has seen a bit of how our sports bodies at the national level operate.

WE WILL NEVER GET THERE.
