How can we increase Afghan participation of Defence.pk

and literacy...
And those who live in west have resources for strange reasons show imense hatered for Pakistan despite we fed them for decades and continuing even on the sake of our own security and economy.
Is it really so strange?

Besides the reasons stated above, this forum is too political and nationalistic for most Afghans. Only Afghans with thick skin can survive here. Most Afghans are straight forward and short tempered like most rural people, they will tell you what they think and will be banned, lol

There are more Indians on this Pakistani forum than Pakistanis. If this forum was too "Nationalistic" then that would not be the case. The mods here are very reasonable and welcome free speech, but unfortunately most of the Afghanis who join online forums tend to resort to name calling and insulting Pakistan as a nation, rather than criticizing the actions of the Pakistani government.

. .
If Indians can survive here why cant afgans... may be its not well known forum to afgans.

I thought I'd post this thread to see if there are ideas/interest in inviting more Afghans to join the discussion on: defence.pk/forums/afghanistan-defence-forum.151

I think it can only be beneficial if more Afghans join the discussion. Despite enmity, acrimonious words and histories we cannot ignore that fact that Afghans are closest to us culturally and I think it is important to build as many fora of communication in out estranged family as possible.

What I envision is to reach out to Afghans on social media -- Twitter and Facebook and encourage them to join.

I also think we should add an Afghan section to defense.pk as there is a wealth of cultural stuff that is shared here that is unfortunately missing even on Afghan sites [which are mostly dead]

Thoughts welcome

I for one welcome this initiative and a good point raised, dialogue and understanding each other's grievances is the way forward. I have been posting on the forum for sometime and have found PDF to be welcoming.

Its not true that they get banned because they are straight forward or blunt person or any thing like that.........they are not Afghans from rural areas of Afghanistan, but the ones born and bred in the western countries. They resort to name callings and insults from the very beginning, indicating their bad intention or purpose on this forum. Such trolls are permanently banned on this forum. Those Afghans who are not trolls, can easily 'survive' here.

Indeed, trolling should not be allowed.

My suggestion is that we work together.

For example here is an outline of a plan:
1. PK342 will put together a list of Afghan twitter users -- we'll score them and filter them to produce a small subset of say a few hundred to a thousand
2. @A-Team you craft a personal message -- or we (+PK342) could do it together you and me. And you (@A-Team) reach out to the Afghan twitter users -- I can even automate it for you if you wish
3. @A-Team and PK342 work with @Horus for a welcome message any any adjustment to forum rules that will make Afghans feel welcome.

.
A good and workable plan.
Hopefully this way we will get more participation from our Afghanistani brothers on this forum.
