US don’t like Huawei 5G networks because Huawei 5G networks are secure. US can’t spy with secure networks or at least be very difficult to spy. US want Western companies to get the 5G networks because they can bribe, threaten and bully Western companies to give access to the US intelligence community to spy on the networks. US intelligence community can’t bully Huawei to give access to Huawei networks. Huawei networks are secure and Huawei won’t be bullied. This is why US is desperate to destroy Huawei.

Just like American companies are gathering data, so are companies of other countries including PRC.
So yup chinese companies are gathering data on the US citizens.

Only way to ensure that it will not happen, is by not using aforementioned apps. And in any case tiktok is annoying as phuck.
