How can one prove that he/she is a Muslim?

I remember at the time of 26/11 terror attacks, some middle eastern muslims were let go free. Now that sounds like a good defense under such situation - if one could lie about name and say some standard Muslim greetings - there is a chance that his/her life will be saved.

Actually, the people who were let go were about to be killed. They started reciting quranic verses and the terrorists did not kill them. So many people barely escaped death through sheer luck or intelligence.

I usually like to thank entire conversations if I like it or I like to thank every post that is honest and extra-ordinary and helps the readers understand Pakistani's better. E.g. I would thank a post by a Pakistani calling Indians as the ugliest race on earth because it is honest and helps the reader understand Pakistani's better.

Anyways, the point is that there is a slight chance of escaping a situation like 26/11, if you can convicingly pretend to be a Muslim but then in a horrific situation as 26/11, it will be really difficult to pretend and act convicingly.
