How Bangladeshis view Pakistanis today?

That list that you have posted mentions Muslims do you have one that is exclusively for Pakistanis?

I'm guessing the reason for it being low is down to the women not working? Which I'm guessing is less likely to happen with the new generation.

Yeah that's the main reason, also the original immigrants that came here weren't educated.

Hello my Pakistani brothers. I don't need too say much, but your absolutely welcome to come over and enjoy the natural pristine nature of our country. This 'feud' over our history is over, our youth are moving forward, as should you, (and as should everyone as a collective, even Bangladeshis!), inspire and innovate, and don't spread hate. In short spread love not hate, it's the peace, love and loyalty that will heal wounds.

I remember during 2nd last/last Asiacup i guess... Afridi was on batting and Bangladeshi air force started to ruin match with mig-29 flying over the stadium and Afridi was quite irritated cuz of buzz of jet... What the heck were they displaying over a stadium at low altitude? Was that kind of show of power and hate..? I guess so.. Though I consider b'desh a good country with pro-indian media and politics.... I never expected love from their leaders..though b'deshis do like Pakistan and most of them i talked to on 71 matter they tell about mistakes from both sides, and include India to tell why we separated...on the topic of killings by Pak army, I had to say sorry for what our army did...and overall we've got no problem....

Hi. I am starting this thread out of mere curiosity since I have never met a Bangladeshi whom I could ask this question. Also I don't know many Bangladeshi members of PDF so I hope @BDforever would tag others for me. Thanks :)

Note: Please don't dig up our shared history between 1947 - 1971 while discussing on this thread as I have witnessed it to be nothing but mudslinging on both sides.

I've had good friends of Pakistan origin IRL. Back in college, I had one gaming buddy who is Pakistani.

Though I am not much a cricket person, whenever there is a match between India and Pakistan, Bangladeshis tend to support Pakistan. The reason is not necessarily religion, but rooted in the sentiment among several Bangladeshi cricket fans that some members of the professional Indian cricket community tend to look down on the Bangladeshi cricket team in a rather nasty kind of way. And let's not forget Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu's comments regarding Bangladesh's cricket team.

Other than that, it is simply another country with its own struggles. Quite frankly, I see very little in common in regards to culture with Pakistan and India.

What Bangladeshi politicians and 'intellectuals' say are pretty irrelevant.

There were reports of a potential earthquake in the region they were stationed. That is why they had to fly to another location. Yes, I used 'they'.

still your assertive did not prove me wrong about TTP.

Go to Gujranwala, Chakwal or Jhelum and ask any one if he is Hindujana :P you will get an interesting answer.

how about Indian?

No Bengalis don't live in any the areas you mentioned. Other then Karachi ghettos, you won't,find them any where else in Pakistan. Just like afghans, I am in favor of deporting them back to Bangladesh.

Some of the British Bangladeshis are in mess. They are in identity crisis. They dont feel any affiliations to BD neither loyal to Britain. Going extreme. Those people are ruining both BD and Muslim image. @PersonasNonGrata Isnt is true?

I also already explained that Pakistan is net looser in trade route plan, and there will not be any significant enhancement for Pakistan as Bhutan, Bangladesh and Nepal are not lucrative markets for Pakistan, we don't need any trade route for Sri Lanka even for Bangladesh as shipment via sea is much cheaper than over land shipment all across India and also for Bangladesh shipping to Afghanistan & CAR over Sea-Land route via Pakistan or Iran is much cheaper than overland transit.

Why you are reading selective things? But anyway, yes i don't care nor interested that Pakistan waste energy in useless exercise of improving relations with India. Infect hostile India is good for Pakistan in many ways.
And here goes economics into dustbin.
If what you say is true, every country must trade through aqautic route. China, Russia, India, Iran and Pakistan as well have no future for their land routes. We all must abandon land routes and go for aquatic routes since they are so cheap.

Bhaya, Farji ka gyan without logic is so harmphul.

This isn't the case for bengalis only every foreigner in Britain is bemused about their nationality/loyalty to country. So we cannot call this thing as staining of name of their origin.

Lets see....how do I feel about pakistan.....ommmm......nope, no feelings. Its just another country on this planet like any other, we have no borders with them and minimal trade relations, thats all. Bangladesh is a poor country with it own problems of development, but things are changing and our economy is moving in the right direction....thats all that matters.

Pakistanis and Bangladeshis have very little in common with each other, just like Bangladeshis have very little in common with indians. We hope you well with your own country, and what happens between you guys and your neighbours is your business...it has nothing to do with us.

We do have common amongst ourselves more than any other place on earth.
Food, culture, language, clothes, arts, music, sports and much more. 6 decades of messed up history is not going to erase centuries old bond no matter how much you deny.
