Actually I have met many Northeast Indians. 100s of Northeast Indian students come here every here to study medicine in Bangladesh. They don't really have positive attitude towards the mainland Indians.

I propose the following measures for effective cooperation between Bangladesh and India,
  • The Eastern Command of Indian Army should be disbanded. Bangladesh Army will take care of the security of Eastern India and Northeast.
  • Eastern Air Command of Indian Air Force should be disbanded as Bangladesh Air Force can very well take care of the air space of Eastern and Northeast India.
  • Eastern Naval Command of India Navy should be disbanded. The security of Bay of Bengal will solely be Bangladesh Navy's responsibility.
  • All the military assets of Eastern and Northeast India should be handed over to Bangladesh military as Bangladesh will be far more efficient to command the region because of shared culture.
  • The funds invested by Government of India to maintain these military assets in the region could be diverted to development programs in India for poverty reduction.
  • The less developed states in Eastern and Northeast India like Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur could be given on a lease to Bangladesh for 99 years to have them developed under Bangladesh model. We will utilize our development experience on these states. (Optional but recommended)
Win-win for both.

And your daddy going to subsidise those states? It will take ages to educate them how to use a latrine let alone wear chappal.
Sorry i will rather donate $10 to the UNICEF to help them out and take care of themselves.

before you get to conversation and start to whin, you should very well aware of with whom you are getting into the ring.

he is my uncle, you should ask your own army about him.
you have no idea how much i do know about your country even you yourself don't know,i have been watching your post, you are kind of being arrogant little child who are trying to prove your point by crying.

/////Look up the economic figures of states like Maharashtra or South India as a whole////

Don't make me laugh. We do not come close becuase we do not need to.We have 16 crore people to feed compared to 130 crores of yours. What are you giving me some cartoon type BS?
According to your logic you are better than UK,Germany in life standard?

silly excuses?come on,after you gave me HDI index i showed you simple math, getting caught red handed another typical indian whining started.Do you know how HDI is calculated?

Fact : India was the only country that opposed BD Armed force formation after liberation.

And now we are looking at the future. In 1971 India gave our people shelter. We are grateful for that. But that's not an ATM card for you.
As a part of future China being a military, economic, manufacturing powerhouse and Global Superpower is our top priority right now,you just don't figure in that.As for your economic development, keep developing, but we don't have to do anything with you.I guess i have made it clear.

Why don't you go ask your uncle what's the future policies of your country. He will educate you.

Typical indian whining response when trapped in like rats
i was saving that line for you little cute boy,why don't you ask your daddies in govt house about your policy instead of whining here when you have zero idea about what's going on in your country?
Our foreign policy?Do you know who negotiated these whole submarine buying procedure with china despite your daddies whining in your govt house? :partay:
So cute boy, neither has any idea about his own country's policy nor he has any idea about his own army.
Nailed again,aren't you? :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

India is much closer to Bangladesh than you think.

We are even talking about training your air force and navy to use said Chinese equipment. We are even talking about cooperation in patrolling the EEZ.

India could have been our amicable friend. But, it is still meddling with our domestic politics. People blame India for the killing of our two Presidents. The people of BD are wary of Indian intentions. However, we have sided with China for our protection against Indian bullying. We purchase almost all our weapons from China.

BAF has been purchasing its planes from China. How do you expect our pilots to be trained by those who operate a low grade Tejas? BAF pilots are already taking training in China and it has bought hundreds of millions dollar worth of Chinese training planes for the purpose of making them fit to operate J-10s. India knows nothing about J-10 planes.

WE know what India did when BA was planning to train a group of commandos in the 1970s. It said why BA needs the commando group? President Ziaur Rahman had to arrange the training in great secrecy, and now we have a very well-trained commando group. Ziaur Rahman's timing was perfect because all the Bangali commandos of Pakistan Army were still in the service and without their assistance a commando group would have been difficult in the future. This is why India wanted to delay the process.

Now, a naive Indian here is talking about good cooperation with BD armed forces. It will never be materialized, except some lip services.

There is no need for subsidies. It will be on a contract basis, BRAC or Grameen Bank will act as the chief contractor. India will hand over Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa and Northeast India to Bangladesh on a 99 year lease and BRAC and Grameen Bank will be given the contract to develop the states on a social enterprise model.

To generate revenue for the project, Bangladesh will have exclusive rights over Indian EEZ in Bay of Bengal as well as the onshore mineral resources of the states during those 99 years. As a bonus for India, Bangladesh military will also take care of the defence of these states and EEZ as discussed before.

I believe these states will be best suited as agrarian economies, producing cash crops, subsistence crops and forest resources. The economy of these states will eventually integrate with the supply chain of Bangladesh's economy, supplying raw materials to Bangladeshi industries.

As far as governance and administration is concerned, Bangladesh will create a new body called "Bangladesh Development Agency (BDA)". BDA will be the supreme authority to oversea the project. BDA will create regional committees in those states headed by a representative of Government of Bangladesh while including committee members from representatives of contractors and Bangladesh military. Each committee will also include a local representative as well. The committees will be responsible for all administrative and governance activities in the states.

The success of the project will encourage India to handover other states as well to Bangladesh. After 99 years, Indians will receive a developed country with perpetual stability and prosperity.

Yes, you are right. You are a great thinker.

So after being proved wrong about HDI, now you are trying to clutch at straws and come up with silly excuses about getting your independence in 1971.

You were not "almost destroyed" after the war, you were almost destroyed before the war and then India saved you.

Fact: Since India is your neighbour, you didn't have any military threat. So there was no need for BD to develop a military, hence why BD has been able to do well economically compared to Pakistan. No, not India, only Pakistan. India is at an entirely different level compared to BD. Look up the economic figures of states like Maharashtra or South India as a whole. You don't even come close enough to compare.

Yes you are right, no one comes close to the Indians when it comes to killing baby girls,

Indian Minister Maneka Gandhi Says 2,000 Girls Are Killed Across the Country Every Day
http://time.com/3830874/2000-girls-killed-every-day-india-minister/

Supa Powa Indians are only good in killing their baby girls.

There is something wrong in your kind.

BD and India are friends. Only the PDFers are in denial.

@randomradio, we don't have enmity towards India, nor do we owe you anything. We are a friendly country towards India, like we are towards all other nations that respect our country.

However, Bangladesh-India won't be "great friends" strictly, because of underlying issues that are not going to be solved in the meantime as Hindutva identity politics in India grows and grows, day by day.

These issues are the following:

1) Border Killings - 1400+ Bangladeshi citizens have been killed on sight by the BSF.
2) River Sharing issues - especially major ones like the Teesta.
3) Farakkha Barrage - dries up the Padma in Rajshahi, while also causing major flood at various times.
4) "Illegal Bangladeshis" - The false allegations that there are 20 million Bangladeshis in states like West Bengal and Assam, when all states bordering Bangladesh have a smaller economy and a lower per capita income than Bangladesh.
5) Identity Politics - There is a growing animosity on the rise from the Indian Hindu lower/middle class against Muslims instigated by Hindutva politicians, where Muslim = Bangladeshi/Pakistani/enemy while Hindus from around the world = Indian.
6) Interference in domestic issues - India has interfered in Bangladeshi politics various times, while Bangladesh does not have any say in Indian politics at all, nor wishes to.
7) Objections to our relationships - Why is our growing economics/defence relations with China being viewed as a threat to India, going as by so much that even the purchase of old Submarines has led the Indian media to go bonkers.

Issues against China = none. Besides the war criminal issue/denial of genocide, we have no other problem with even Pakistan.

Despite being a completely secular person, I can see why the partition was better for us. Although unfortunately, we have lost rest of Bengal, we have been freed from the shackles of Hindutva politics, and has led us to usher in an independent and free nation.

Hindutva politics isn't a threat, it's only made out to be one.

Border issues, water sharing etc are small issues. They are working over those.

Illegal immigrants issue is real. We see that everywhere. They have started coming down to the South also. But it will be solved in a few years with the Aadhaar. It will completely eliminate illegal immigration because foreigners won't have the ability to get one. Let's see what they do about the ones who are already in India.

Identity politics within India should be irrelevant to BD. India was made for all minorities, so it's obvious India will favour non-Muslim minorities. Why is that surprising? China happily curbs Islamic freedoms, like Chinese Muslims can't fast during Ramzan, can't preach, can;t grow beards or wear veil etc.

https://www.economist.com/news/chin...mad-extraordinary-ways-which-china-humiliates

So you should be more worried about the Chinese treatment of its own Muslims first. India's Muslims will themselves tell you not to interfere in their business.

As for point 6, all big countries interfere in the business of small countries. You obviously see that with both China and the US. A Chinese company was recently banned for bribing a BD govt official, that's a pretty big deal.

As for India's objections to BD's relations with China. Of course, we don't like it. China is a disruptive force, not a force for peace. BD will lose all their years of actual sovereignty if the Chinese are allowed into BD. Can't you see what's happening in Nepal and Maldives? You will have bigger issues with China than you ever did with India.

You are very good at shedding crocodile's tear. Just leave Nepal with the Nepalese, and build up your impoverished country. Nepal is welcoming China with two hands. Here, you are lamenting over Nepal!! About Maldives, how many times did India took advantage of the smallness of that country and played politics against the incumbents?
