This one surprises me the most, why do Indonesia, Pakistan and India have low views of South Korea?

.
Damn, the median result is pretty damn close with Indonesian perception. Now that's interesting...

Can you explain why Indonesia only have 42% positive views of South Korea? I can understand why China and Japan have low views of South Korea, but why Indonesia?

.
Indians try so hard to be liked by the world but still no one likes them

I guess they saw the epic Indian propaganda 2030 video.

the reason sound ridiculous but it's almost touching the facts

South Korean people is identical with plastic surgery, here in Indonesia natural beauty is been regarded as everything

Calm down man. India and China got similar rating:

China gets 57 likes, India slightly lower with 51 likes. But China got 33 dislikes while India 31 dislikes....so its quite similar.

Ahh I see, so its not about politics or economy but just a social issue, like how some see South Koreans as shallow and materialistic.

Vietnam and India hate China so much.

Don’t worry, I don’t hate China...the 81% dislike is just politics.

Pakistanis more Anti-Korean than Anti-India

Bro why India (and Pakistan) don’t like South Korea? I dont understand that...is it because of social perceptions as well?

I think Indians confused North Korea with South Korea, probably the only reason i can think of as a reason.

Except NE India many Indians are unaware of Korea's existence despite widespread Korean products from LG, Samsung and Hyundai.

I have met many Indians who think those companies are Japanese.

Interesting thing that both Vietnam and Phillipines have problems with China in SCS, but the majority Vietnamese hate China (whether politics or other reasons), while more than half Phillipines have favourable attitude to China.

Phillipine president didn't attend China's 70th anniversary parade although got invited, but PH people don't hate China so much; Vietnamese president came to China, but VN people hate China, interesting.

As for Indians, Lack of exposure to Korean People, many consider Korean products and companies like Samsung and LG to be Japanese in Indian villages.

People in rural India (majority of population though not PDF posters) have vague positive recollection about Japan due Netaji Bose and the song Mera Juta hai Japani. They associate Japan with land of quality consumer goods and cars for the most part. Japanese goods have a solid stamp of approval. The recent closeness between Indian and Japan on international arena and Japanese contributions to India like Metro Project etc are not well known at rural level.

Koreans don't even have the nostalgia and historical connection factor going for them.

Most Indians care very less about International Politics and are mostly self absorbed along local, regional and then federal lines. Most people in villages don't even read national newspapers but are content with state level newspapers which do have national headlines but are geared towards local and state level news.

China is negatively perceived due to obvious reasons.

Indian perception of China is more positive at 41 than Chinese perception of India at 24.

Chinese negatives views are probably because of articles like these by Chinese media, encouraging racial contempt towards Indians.

Indians inferior; Modi must not visit Arunachal: Chinese media article

Indian perception turning because of the massive profit imported goods from China brings to wholesale traders and retailers which form the middle class in India. Cheap Chinese goods are appreciated by poor as well.

India meanwhile offers nothing to China and state controlled Chinese Media manages perception of other countries quite well at the level they want.

I think the Vietnamese president attended because of free food and free drinks. And to give China the impression that Vietnam likes China.

As for the Filipino, they are generally nice and friendly people. It is your countrymen that look down and insult them, thus giving the impression that there are fierce hatred between the two people eventhough the hate is only one-sided.

OK I see now. Thanks.

1, Generally Chinese don't understand Indian affairs or culture so much
2, Chinese may dislike India due to Tibet issues, but Chinese never hate Indians like we hate Japanese. I never saw any Chinese expressed that he hates India on and off the Internet(except PDF), but I usually saw it regarding the Japanese. So this is difference.
