But Mutameen said Pakistan had been treating Taliban leaders badly for a long time. For example, Pakistan told the US that the former Taliban chief, Mullah Mansour, wanted to cross over to Helmand in southern Afghanistan. He was killed in a US drone strike in May.

At an off-the-record dialogue between Afghans and Pakistanis on the eve of the Herat conference, an Afghan participant reportedly told her Pakistani audience that “if you go out on the streets, you will find that very few people like you".

Tbh it will be in best interest of Pakistan to stop this ego battle with India and strive for a peaceful resolution while also acknowledging India's vast superiority over them militarily and in diplomacy.

Someone rightly asked the Pakistani what do they mean by "strategic depth". Afghanistan is coming out of the shadows. Chahbahar is another reason of their confidence. For last 15 years the talibans were given the hope that things will change when Americans will leave but Americans did not leave and Afghans found a new hope in democracy. They now realize that talibans will keep them isolated from the world and Afghanistan will end up serving the strategic depth for Pakistan. After losing Mulla Omar and Mulla Mansour and several other leaders and signing of peace deal by Gulbuddin Hikmatyar with Afghanistan govt. even talibans have started to believe that their fight is destroying either them or Afghanistan. It wont be surprising if Talibans reach an agreement with Afghan govt like Hikmatyar since Pakistan is no longer present in their dialogues. Its high time Pakistan change their Afghan strategy and give up the dream of strategic depth.

What is funny about that?

If you come to terms with facts and not what your military keeps feeding you, you would know where war will leave both countries.

When it is war time, neither will your iron brother bleed for you, nor will islamic nations come to rescue. India on other hand isnt going to depend on any savior, we'll suffer damage but we will move on post war. While Pakistan already is going through a turmoil in every facet of the countries development, a war would just make situation worse and cause irreversable damage.

Anyway, I will just quote a personal experience with an Afghan who's living in quetta, He used to work with US army in Afghanistan. Once I had a conversation with him about these tensions .. saahb ne esi bharkain maari, Mera khoon kholnay laga. He insisted that historically balochistan and kpk are part of Afghanistan, thus no one should be allowed to live here except Balochis and pushtuns . All wali ullahs are afghan by origin , no wali of Allah bears any other ethinicity except Pushtuns , the first syed came in Afghanistan thus afghanistan bears the credit for all syeds in sub continent, Pakistan supplies terrorists in Afghanistan, eats all money that UN gives for refugees , Afghanistan bears all credit for the beauty in sub continent , only due to Afghanistan pakis look white on the map of world .. .. and at last he said I've even requested my American officers to give me all bombs so that I could nuke pakistan alone .
I asked him if you hate pakistan then what are you doing in Pakistan, he said what makes you think quetta is pakistan, afghans and pushtuns are living here thus quetta is the right of Afghanistan not punjabis, punjabis have given money to taliban to destroy pushtun cities so that they won't kill punjabi cities.
The debate got hot so he started shouting on me that you are a sindhi kaala bandar , get lost from quetta and started abusing ..........


Recently he's in karachi at agha khan hospital because his mother is sufferring from high blood pressure.

One thing I can tell surely about afghans is , that most of them are highly prejudiced and believes in ethnicity superiority. They can't bear any other ethnicity that is also the main reason of their hatred toward pakistan.
