How a Pakistani Submarine Caused Panic in The Indian Navy

Right, it took 21 days may be because they were searching around border or inside indian waters....but pn might have hid it deep inside its water....?
Indian territorial waters/EEZ (exclusive economic zone) on western side of your border isn't huge as compare to other big countries like USA/Russia/China etc etc, and you used multiple options to locate PN sub (subsurface/Surface/Air) if your IN find PN sub in time of crisis then i have to say sorry to you and shows how professional/trained IN for detecting enemy on time @PeaceBeWithYou

. .
Do IN enjoy creating a drama so it looks like they are doing something useful?
seem this is the case ... as you can see they have carfully constructed a message and passing it in subliminal manner to their public about the UNSUCCESSFUL deployment of Scorpene sub near Pakistan.
Scorpene-class submarine INS Kalvari, was also deployed in the hunt while their posture kept threatening Pakistan against doing any misadventure in the Indian waters.
After reading this bakths will claim all sort of things and would ignore the fact that successful detection and interception of this new class of Indian sub by Pakistan Navy has actually jeopardise the whole Scorpene class sub fleet of IN against the PN

Following highlighted lines gives the sole purpose of this carefully crafted news article, as rather given the dose of reality to their readers about failed operation of Scorpene subs they are not only portraying an imaginary scenario but taking it to another level of eliminating the Imaginary Threat thus consoling the readers and giving them something to satisfy which was necessary as the whole article was written to instigate FEAR in the beginning therefore happy ending was necessary to portray larger than life picture you can check the theme of the article suddenly changed after the quoted paragraph
All precautionary measures had been taken by the Navy to ensure that even if the PNS Saad had entered Indian waters, all necessary actions were to be taken to force it to come on the surface, and if required take military punitive action against it, the sources said.

I dont know why do you end all your comments quoting how unprofestional or worst IN is, may be you are getting some pleasure but factualy incorrect and baseless...u know it very well IN can crush PN in all out war...but that is not the point, we are talking about PN's star boat and IN's concern about its disapperance

Coming to the point, thats what i mentioned in my post earlier, may be because PN hid its boat in secret location within its sea....as long as it remains within pak sea and inactive, IN wont be bothered about it?

You have no neutral backup that PN subs hide to Makran coast from IN detection, its humiliation for IN with multiple senors you have from air/subsurface/surface, we can only assume if this conspiracy theory is true, let me assume that if your ship/antisub plane/sub comes near coast of Pakistan then we should rain down antiship missiles from land/air/sea and fire SAMs and torpedoes to bring IN down to its toes just my thoughts @PeaceBeWithYou

Post Balakot strike, Indian Navy hunted for Pakistani submarine for 21 days
As the days progressed, Indian Navy kept expanding its area of search for the Pakistani boat and satellites were also used to locate it, meanwhile, the force was almost certain that the Pakistanis may have kept it hidden somewhere else.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Soon after the Pulwama terror attack, Indian Navy hunted for Pakistani submarine for 21 days
  • During the search operation, India was continuously keeping an eye on Pakistani military
  • As the days progressed, Indian Navy kept expanding its area of search for the Pakistani boat and satellites

Soon after the Pulwama terror attack, India pulled out its Navy from an exercise and deployed a major part of its fleet, including nuclear and conventional submarines, close to Pakistani territorial waters.

During the aggressive deployment of the naval assets by the Indian side, the Pakistanis were getting an impression that New Delhi might use its maritime force to avenge the killing of its 40 CRPF personnel in the suicide bombing by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

India was continuously keeping an eye on the movement of the Pakistani military but after Indian Air Force (IAF) hit the Jaish terrorist factory in Balakot, one of the most advanced Pakistani Agosta-class submarines - PNS Saad - vanished from the Pakistani waters, a senior government source said.

Having accounted for all other surface warships and all the submarines, the vanishing act done by the PNS Saad fitted with Air Independent Propulsion (a technology which allows the submarines to stay for a longer period under the water than normal submarines) swung the entire Indian Navy swung into action.

"The location near Karachi, Pakistan, from where the PNS Saad vanished, it could reach the Gujarat coast in three days and the headquarters of the western fleet in Mumbai within five days and was seen as a major threat to the security of the country," the sources said.

The anti-submarine warfare specialist warships and aircraft were positioned to help in the hunt for the missing Pakistani submarine.

"All the areas where it could have gone in the given timeframe, extensive searches were carried out by the Indian Navy. P-8Is were pressed into service to locate the submarine along with the coastal areas of Gujarat followed by Maharashtra and other states," the sources said.

All precautionary measures had been taken by the Navy to ensure that even if the PNS Saad had entered Indian waters, all necessary actions were to be taken to force it to come on the surface, and if required take military punitive action against it, the sources further said.

Nuclear submarine INS Chakra had also been deployed in an aggressive posture along the Pakistani waters and instructed to keep looking for the missing Pakistani submarine.

The Indian Navy's latest induction, Scorpene-class submarine INS Kalvari, was also deployed in the hunt while their posture kept threatening Pakistan against doing any misadventure in the Indian waters.

As the days progressed, Indian Navy kept expanding its area of search for the Pakistani boat and satellites were also used to locate it, meanwhile, the force was almost certain that the Pakistanis may have kept it hidden somewhere else.

After 21 days of an extensive search, Indian Navy finally located the PNS Saad on the western side of Pakistan.

It was sent there for hiding in order to ensure a covert capability in case of extension in hostilities in the aftermath of the Balakot airstrikes.

Sources said the Navy is maintaining complete surveillance of the Arabian Sea, especially Pakistani waters, and is aware of Pakistan's naval activities in the area. Soon after the tensions spiked, the Navy had deployed over 60 warships, including the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya, along with its battle group as part of a rapid redeployment in the North Arabian Sea.

"The overwhelming superiority of the Indian Navy in all three dimensions forced the Pakistan Navy to remain deployed close to the Makran coast and not venture out in the open ocean," a statement by Indian Navy spokesperson Captain DK Sharma had said at that time.

------------

So, for 21 days the Indian Navy couldn't find Pakistan Navy's submarine and feared it might be positioned aggressively near Indian shores, they searched for it along their own shores for 3 weeks! And only to find it sitting idle towards Gwadar.

In 21 days, it could have reached any where. They used everything they could including military satellites and were unable to find it.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Navy and Air Force detected two Indian Submarines within a week and forced them to snorkel (a sign of surrender). And released the footages taken.

India will lose any war with Pakistan. They are under wrath of ALLAH ALMIGHTY and are working against HIS orders .India will surely end soon .Their economic boom is temporary and they will face very dark future

All is see is Pak kept 1 submarine hidden for some eventuality.
India thought it is sent in Indian waters so started an op to locate it. And later found it hidden in west coast of Pakistan.
If i were a Pakistani, i would be more concerned that India is keeping tabs and eyes on live location of all Pak submarines and was able to find the sub that was meant to be hidden. (Pakis taking pride in the fact that they took 21 days to find sub, really shouldnt as the was sub was in home waters no in enemy or international and far away from Indian waters, wheres India was operating with the premise that its coming in Indian waters)
But i am an Indian, i am concerned as to how that sub vanished from our eyes and what we can do to make sure it never happens again.
