Houthi rebels stop Pakistani convoy from fleeing conflict in Yemen

Well we can't trust the media also nowdays with their TRP rating race they will have people believe anything.I for one would go with the official version.
Plus if a person is really in the need he would call the embassy rather then a TV channel.
It's actual people calling on phone. Live. You would trust an official briefing but not a people(including teachers and principal of Pakistani school in Sanaa) who are begging to be saved while the official statement says they don't want to be saved?

. .
I wish those people a safe passage and I hope Iranian reign of terror in the region will finally end some day.

I just watched a video where Houthis are cutting the ears of some dead people who belonged to a Sunni sub tribe ...!

Hatred related to religion is one of the worst of its kind. What's the point of achieving hedgemoney when GCC allies are ruling the skies unopposed and Hauties on the ground are on the mercy of missiles and bombs? If hautis are defeated and Iran couldn't do anything then it would send a bad signal to all her regional proxies that they are dispensable. Iran controlling Bhagdad,Syria and Beirut could have been an "Agreed upon" position but Iran has irked a strong response from GCC and now this will not stop here if GCCs are able to defeat hautis.

It is just a matter of time for the sleeping cells of Iran in Pakistan to go into action.

We should not think that they are not trying to export their revolution to Pakistan. They are just waiting for the right time of their choice.

HUDAIDAH: With clock ticking for families stranded in Yemen, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft departed on Sunday to fly out Pakistani expatriates from the war-torn country, Express News reported.

The flight is expected to carry around 500 stranded Pakistanis from Hudaidah to Pakistan and will arrive back home at 6pm.

According to unofficial estimates, 600 Pakistanis are stranded in the besieged Yemeni capital of Sanaa. Pakistan’s foreign ministry officials said around 2,145 Pakistanis are currently living in Yemen.

A group of Pakistani expats including children is awaiting at the Hudaidah airport to reach back home.

A naval vessel has also departed for Yemen to evacuate the stranded citizens.

Earlier today, a Pakistani convoy had reached Hudaidah safely which was earlier allowed to leave Sanaa, hours after it was stopped at check-post attempting to flee the conflict in Yemen.

The convoy, consisted of 15 buses, had left Sanaa for Hudaidah.

“Saudi Arabia has declared Yemen a no-fly zone and we are in constant touch with the Saudi authorities to allow our planes to land on any safe airport,” Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said.

He added that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had spoken to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman by telephone on March 27, restating Islamabad’s staunch support for the Gulf kingdom.

The government had devised an evacuation plan on the directives of Premier Sharif, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister House earlier in the day. The prime minister is himself monitoring the situation and has asked to be kept updated on an hourly basis.

Yep and they will find many of the shia youth willing to rise to their calls. The people actually make a lot of hue and cry over the debandi/wahabi extremists but when one visit their own materials, they are not a step behind (in fact a couple of steps ahead).

I sometimes think if these both of these fractions I.e. Mullahs and Ayatullahs made it to haven, they would start a proxy war there as well

Iran was indeed a friend of Pakistan but in Shah's Regime. Eversince Ayatollah's rule was introduced Iran become more of a "Perceived Friend" of Pakistan because of Her acts of friendship during Shah's time. So yes Iran is a friend but a friend you wouldn't like to hang out with. If Saudi is like that rich dude who lets you use his car or pays you dinning bill but is arrogant Iran is that friend who doesn't have a penny in his pocket but treats you like a Saudi does.

Why not tell them both to go take a hike. On a more serious note No body should be allowed to take Pakistan for granted, not the rich dude and certainly not the penniless one.
