House with no utility bills

A few issues in the video...

1) The guy talks about lower middle class in Pakistan and then goes on to mention solar panels...solar panels are expensive...much less expensive than before but still expensive for lower middle class in Pak.

2) Depending on where u live...solar panels don't always fulfill ur energy needs. Most of the time u end up relying on the grid anyways...much less but still...hence there would still be an electric bill

3) same for gas as above...an average household uses way more natural gas for heating/cooking than they will get from that decomposition...hence a gas bill

4) also depending on how much rainfall there is in a certain area, there would most likely still be a water bill. Since an average household's water needs usually far exceed the water that can be gathered from precipitation in most parts of the world.

So all of the above certainly helps reduce ur utility bills but it doesn't entirely eliminate ur utility bills. Not to mention it requires a huge cost up front to set it all up, which puts this way out of reach of an average person.

P.S. it's best not to use YouTube videos as ur source material if u want to bring up or discuss a particular subject.

It is indeed a very noble thought. However the video addresses it at the level of an average person. This is the point I'm discussing. Most of the things mentioned in the video are mostly out of reach of an average person in Pakistan. These things must be addressed at the provincial or federal government level.

For example the government has the resources available to plan and build cities with the proper facilities to collect rain water.

It is important to take into account the purchasing power of an average Pakistani. Sure there are ppl who can afford such things but they represent a very tiny percentage of the Pakistani population.

Agreed, government or local housing societies have ability to do that,
