Hostages in Afghan: Pakistan to help
Dhaka, Dec 23 (bdnews24.com) -- Pakistan has assured that it will extend all possible cooperation to Bangladesh for the release of five Bangladeshi hostages in Afghanistan and their safe return to Dhaka.
The assurance came when Bangladesh high commissioner to Pakistan Suhrab Hossain met Pakistan prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Thursday, said a foreign ministry handout.
The five Bangladeshis were kidnapped on December 17 by Afghan miscreants where a Bangladeshi was also killed.
The high commissioner discussed the issue with the prime minister and sought his help in efforts to secure the release of the hostages.
