we are not getting anything before 2019 I think. Man Indian govt. does not know how to work.
Looks like its canceled.
According to recent reports the financial negotiations done, all that is left is for DASSAULT to find the right Indian partners, to divert ToT and offsets according to the requirements of the competitions, so GoI is doing fine and would be ready to sign as they and as IAF planned in this financial year, till march.
The problem however is, Dassault will have difficulties to find the right partners, because not many are able to absorb the ToT and produce the advanced techs in a quality and timeframe they would like it (see the problems DCNS had with Scorpene and Mazagon).
this is the basic problem since past decade. And they also fear if the Technology be maintained or not. It will take 5-6 years just to set up the infrastructure. Because in setting up infrastructure they need imported machines and for that they will do one more round of shopping. So the first batch will be out in 2020?
Have you even bothered to inform yourself before posting your nonsense????
I am well aware of my "nonsense" unfortunately you are not aware of yours, but no worries keep waiting for your mmrca like Tejas, Arjun, etc......

do you realize that we are talking about over 15 billion USD, full ToT for one of the best 4.5 gen fighters and 50% offset???
Making a contract takes time!
But most of the negotiations are completed and its now only about fine tuning.
we are talking about over 15 billion USD, full ToT for one of the best 4.5 gen fighters and 50% offset.... it will take some time till all parties are happy. But the bulk of the negotiations are over.
BTW: The deal will be signed somewhere in this year, thus the first sdr. will be delivered within 3 yrs from 2013.
but will they send us updated aircrafts as in the date of 2017?
