Some Questions from my side
Does the fact that you gave birth to someone or are related to someone by blood give you a right over that person's life?
Does a parent who believe that they have a right to control even the most intimate decision of their children?
What is honour?
A Child does not come to this world on his own.It is a conscious decision of parents to have a child.Since the parents invest a lot of economic and emotional resources in raising a child it is imperative for child that it look after his parents when they are old and retired. But the parents have no moral right to lay claim over the life of person which include the choice of spouse as a child is conceived either through a concious decision or in lust.A child is not born out of his free will but due to sexual act both parents indulged in.
Now every person has a right to make his decision. While this is applicable for couples this is also applicable for parents. Therefore if the parents or brothers do not support their children/siblings choice the can snap their familial ties but any coercion is Illegal and Immoral. The people thinking this way does not deserve to become parents and should have remained virgins.
Now regarding honour. What is honour?According to me honour derives from a set of values and rules that a person have to differentiate between good an bad,the rules that he follow to regulate his behaviour.A solider who provide medical aid to wounded enemy.A person who helps people in distress is acting honourably.Honour is an internal construct. It could be violated if the person acts in discordance of his values. The person who has such a fragile conception of honour that it could be violated by some external event were never honourable.Honour for them was a shield that they were using to hide their inferiorities an sexual frustration.
brilliantly put . i look forward towards more of your views.
