Hongyan heavy-duty trucks launched in Pakistan

A new range of Hongyan heavy-duty trucks has been launched in Pakistan, including Genlyon 6X4 Prime Mover and 6X4 Dumper.

According to the company’s press release, Hongyan is among the first Chinese trucks being introduced in Pakistan which is built on European Technology from IVECO global R&D Center in Europe. Hongyan trucks come with Cursor engine complying to EURO III emission standards. Cursor engines have passed European tests and acquired the European ECE certification. Cursor engines are not only used in Hongyan but also exported to Europe to be equipped on the IVECO trucks.

Hongyan trucks are said to be highly-fuel efficient due to its engine technology and have low operating cost due to long oil change intervals. It maximizes uptime and provides a lucrative payback. Hongyan has a wide range of product types such as 4X2T, 6X4T for the long haul, 6X4R long chassis for regional distribution, 6X4 and 8X4 dump trucks for heavy-duty construction and mining applications.

The Chinese company follows a manufacturing system customized by IVECO. It uses dual coating painting for its chassis which is built on European technology. It is among the first Chinese-made heavy-duty truck which has passed the European ECE R29 collision test.

N definitely destroyed the economy, as did Musharraf's team and PPP's team. Don't let short-term growth fool you (usually because of American dollars, overall macro conditions and/or sketchy currency tricks) --- all successive governments failed to create an enabling environment to increase exports. Agri and Textile exports alone, if given the right kind of support, can solve most of our balance of payments / foreign reserve problems.

Its not just some false economic data we have actual jobs during Musharraf tenure.
If you have lived in Pakistan during that time and after you will know the difference.
Textile has very small percentage in Total World Export.
Also if you want to increase export of Textile and improve agri sector you need to resolve the main issue that is DAMS Mega Dams.
It was Musharraf who brought Water Vision which was important for industry, export, agri and most importantly future drinking need. Dams feasibility / Studies work started during his time.

But it was idiots in Pakistan who thought Motorway is more important then Dams.

I am sure you haven't visited any Textile Unit or can't name any other then few big group.

Let me tell you a fact its growth is in negative. In general many unit closed or running on/off. Their Cost of production(Electricity) is too high to be competitive.
Let me give you another example. Pakistan is one of Top Broiler Chicken producer. But we hardly have few processing unit & almost negligible exports. Reason cost of production is too high. Their sites need 24/7 uninterested power supply and sites are mostly located near small villages out of no where. They face more load shedding then people like us in Big Cities.

Ignoring PTI from your list clearly shows you are biased.
World Bank Have no problem funding KB Dam.
KB Dam is more feasible and less distribution cost then any other dams.
Instead they choose to construct another turbine on Terbala although its storage capacity is going down.
They oppose KB Dam but want more Loyalty from Dams.
If they want more money why not also take some financial burden of Dams?

1.) PTI was missing because it hasn't even been half a year. They are talking about the right things and PTI did endorse the dam fund enthusiastically. However, there are many issues with PTI's current strategy --- let's see what happens. I am not a blind fanboy like many on this forum.

2.) I was in Pakistan before, during and after Mush --- and my family runs businesses in agri, textile, pharma, etc., so I'm not just randomly bashing Musharraf for personal reasons (the pharma did exceptionally well, but I still criticize his policies.)

3.) Mush's financial team (many people I know went and made endless presentations to Shortcut Aziz) did NOT focus on a strong export-based economy with good value addition. As is typical of these "foreign imports" (like Mr. Aziz, who now sucks an Indian businessman's balls as his daily job and hasn't step foot in Pakistan since his stint), there were no long-term benefits of the policies implemented. A country like Pakistan needs to focus massively on improving balance of payments/foreign reserves through exports.

PTI is a part of problem like other Politician. Economy was affected by terrorism and Politician including PTI was great supporter of terrorism. But i guess nothing wrong in it because all politician are like that.
They are responsible for opposing KB Dam. Do you have any idea how much damages we have face due too flood and drought both financially and loss of life. Many members including so called Seniors here forget that for long we have survey, feasibility & design of only 1 dam KB Dam.
PTI idiots will install another turbine / tunnels in Terbala whose capacity is going down using World Bank but can't take World Bank help for Most suitable dam (KB- near load - Main transmission line already exist - away from fault line - more water inflow -control flood - availability of water during drought). Flaws in KB Dam (Punjab will get loyalty - KP will not get any loyalty - Agri sector will flourish - no flood - less impact of drought - economy boom etc).
Our top & only priority should be multiple (Mega) dams construction at a same time.

Yes he is not 100% right. But most of the wrong was due to compromise in the name of DEMOCRACY. Not only Pharma other sector too.
But main point is defended and adovate KB Dam in SIdh when his party member back off.
He identified main threat to Pakistan existence which politician and most people ignore. The Water Vision was 10000000000000000............times more important then so called CPEC.
Pakistan will not exist without water. Idiots will realized when its too late. Mega Dams are app. a Decade project.

In simple world. Do you think Musharraf time was better for Business/investment then other rulers. Yes or No.
Regarding. short term/long term. Pakistan like its neighbor is not high end quality exporter like europe and our main base and skilled labour force is limited to Textile. Long term goal is not tax free zone its reducing their cost. Cheap and uninterested power supply.

Right & Many expert have no idea about the actual cost.
E.g. if you are in Lahore Actual cost will be like this
Nepra Per Unit Rate + NTDC(Main Transmission Line)+ LESCO = Actual cost
And people think nepra rate is actual cost which is wrong.

Give them electricity and they will flourish.
