Viral video and pictures of a group of men beating up and parading a naked man who was allegedly about to sexually abuse a dog have been criticized online.

The images and clips show the man being dragged out of an apartment in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province by a group of men before being thrown to the ground and beaten.

The nude man, a 20-someting hailing from Southwest China's Guizhou Province, was caught red-handed just before he was going to sexually abuse a dog, reported the Chengdu Business Daily on Monday.

The man has been arrested by the local police.

Jiang Yun, a local who witnessed the incident, told the media that the man ran a QQ chat group through which he sold clips of him sexually abusing animals.

On Saturday, three concerned locals decided to take action, arranging to meet the man at his home for a "demonstration" of sexual abuse.

The three have sent clips of the man abusing dogs to the police, Jiang added.

Some netizens have criticized the vigilantes' actions. A Weibo user going by "chengrenziji" from Guangzhou commented "now dogs' rights are above humans' to the cult-like dog lover groups."

"They are now abusing human beings under the name of dog protection," wrote Hainan netizen "xiaopiqidejieqiang."

"At present, criminal law only protects the dignity, freedom, lives and property of human beings, but animals including dogs only count as property," said Huo Zishi, a Sichuan-based lawyer.

"The animal lovers' acts violated the laws regarding public order, and were against the spirit of law," said Huo, "it is very undesirable."

Not a kosher argument since Hong Kong is not itself disputed between India and China.
Oh so now Kashmir is "disputed". That's bloody mind boggling flip flopping.

Purely to differentiate the HKer holding an Indian flag from the Kashmiri holding a Pakistani flag, you now define Kashmir as "disputed". Must be very convenient picking and choosing when Kashmir is disputed and when it's union territory.

Notwithstanding that hypocrisy, can Indians elsewhere in India wave a Pakistani flag in protest against India?

Oh, there is a dispute. Our narrative is that the dispute is about the return of the part of the erstwhile Kingdom of J&K currently under Pak occupation. Your narrative about the nature of the dispute is completely different which we don't subscribe to.

There is no law which specifically bans the flying of Pakistani flags.

Yes smart arse but when the flag is flown in Indian occupied Kashmir, by your government's definition, that region is not disputed. It is this precise scenario that appears to contradict the Indian love-in with a HKer flying a foreign flag in HK. What's good for the goose and all that.

That's correct. And in the UT, there is no law against flying a Pak flag.

If some Chinese sitting in a sweat shop is sewing flags instead of begging to be let into India as a refugee, we are fine with it.
