I believe only those with strong attachments with the democracy movement will go. Most I think will stay, or may stay more or less close to i.e. Singapore.

Those that are wealthy had already left in the 1980's and 1990's. Those with decent job prospects will find plenty of opportunities in the Pearl Delta (comparable to Bay Area in US).

The lower classes riot because they don't have as much to lose. But pretty much everybody in HK hates mainland. Maybe about 5-10% of the population with investments in the mainland don't hate mainland. That's all.

I think you severely overestimate the amount of support these rioters have. The "pro-democratic" camp in HK claimed they had 2 million residents came out to support them in the largest demonstration last year. Reuter's own assessment put that number around 250k. In every protest and riot since, these troublemakers have resorted to claiming 4 to 5 times the actual number of supporters.

If they truly had that much support, they wouldn't need exaggerate. The landslide district election victory these people had last year? Out of 4 million registered voters, they got 1.67 million votes (57.3%). That's 1.67 million Hong Kong residents out of a city of 7 million. There is a silent majority in Hong Kong, but they're just not as motivated politically to protest and vote.

Look how all these "pro-democratic" cockroaches fell silent or fled the city as soon as national security law was introduced? They're a bunch of pussies that was allowed some borrowed time.

Not everyone of us prefer to give "view" points to some youtubers that has "different" political side from us. Because we (I'm included) don't want to sacrifice our time to give those youtubers who has opposing political agenda money.

It is better to not spend our time for something that we don't like, if it can avoid from giving those "opposing" propagandists more money.
