I know we have lagged behind due to our involvement in the Afghan war and it's subsequent fallout but things are changing on the ground and you'll see Pakistan bounce back in the next couple of years.
Yeah, we did see how you 'bounced back'- your literacy rate dropped by 2%, down to 58% in 2014 (source Tribune.com.pk). And given your governments poor investment in education & low youth literacy rate, I don't expect see any major improvements in the near future.
And do you think our growth is going to stagnate some how ? Our economy have been growing all these years, and our population growth is far less- so catching up with us on GDP isn't possible in the near future.
Don't get started on CPEC and all. India has several corridors underway that aren't merely 'logistics corridors' for someone else- These are upcoming industrial corridors modelled after Japan's Tokyo- Osaka industrial corridor.
Which rape stats are you talking about? Can you please enlighten us with your sources. You have become a laughing stock in front of the whole world because what Indians did to tourists. Do feel the responsibility, accept it and try to rectify the situation.
Typical non sense. United Nations Office on Drug & Crime (UNODC) has provided rape statistics (rapes per 100,000) data, which can be availed online. The statistics for year 2013 is on wiki too. Google it.
Laughing stock ? Have a look at your own country, idiot.
Have you ever noticed the percentages of these minorities in India? I am sure as yu easily glanced over a lot of other facts, these minorities make up a good chunk of India's population. Do they get their fair share in jobs? NO, not at all. You can find hundreds of reports that will attest to that. Does making a muslim your president helped minorities in any way? NO. But you guys definitely used it to show case the world that you guys are liberal and minorities have all the opportunities in your country.
I am an Indian Christian & I don't see any discrimination against minorities in the case of Jobs- Christians & Sikhs are often even over- represented in jobs, compared with their population.
Before crying foul, do understand that Muslims from families having annual income less than INR 4.5 lakhs are eligible for reservation in education & jobs here. There is no discrimination here-that community has been underrepresented in jobs (but not politics)due to low human development.Part of which can be attributed to, retarded clerics who preach non sense like 'English is the language of hell ' 'Vaccination is American conspiracy against Muslims' & 'Women should rather stay at home' . However this is changing, upward mobility of that community particularly in more developed States can't be ignored.
And FYI, India is a secular democracy that do not discriminate against anyone on the basis of religion or caste. Any Indian Hindu/Muslim/ Sikh/ Christian/Buddhist/Jain/Parsi/Dalit or whatever is allowed to hold any constitutional position and practice & preach his faith. Our penal code is not based on any Hindu laws. Indian Central boards textbooks (NCERT) might be the most religious & politically neutral textbooks available in anywhere.
Last time I checked, India's most loved music director, AR Rahman was born a Hindu & later converted to Islam. Is religious conversion even allowed in your country?
If you think it's all because of higher percentage of minorities, do explain how AK Antony became Indian defence minister & Hormis Tharakan become RAW chief, when both of them belong to India's Christian community (2.3% of Population). And how Manmohan Singh became Indian PM, being a Sikh (2.08% of Population)
In Pakistan, we have hindu judges (even at the top level) and almost all spheres of life. You can find Christians in all departments and these minorities make up less than 3% of Pakistan's population. Do we go out and do chest thumping about it? NO, because this is what our religion teaches us, this is what our forefathers taught us and this is what we believe is our duty. So stop acting like minorities are in some sort of danger in our country. They are living a much better life in Pakistan than India.
Lol, typical Islamists propaganda. Pakistan is an islamic country while India is a secular democracy. Your country is a sign of 'Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam' which effectively makes mockery out of UNDHR. Your country still has blasphemy law & punishment given is death. Many provisions of your penal code is derived from Islamic law- let's not forget Hudood ordinance & Shari'at courts. Religious education in your country have basically overlapped with the civil one & your textbooks still teach students that Hindus, Christians, Sikhs & Jews are cunning, scheming & effectively enemies of Islam. Neither do your minorities have freedom to preach their religion.
The Constitution declares Islam Pakistan's official religion and states that sovereignty belongs to Allah, effectively willing powers of legislation and legal interpretation to the Muslim clergy. Provisions of the Constitution, including Articles 227, 228, and 229, require that all laws be interpreted in the light of the Quran and that "laws shall be brought in conformity with the Injunctions of Islam as laid down in the Quran and Sunnah."
Anyway, do your Constitution allow minorities to hold constitutional position like PM or President? Can a non Muslim testify against a Muslim in
Hadd offences?

Is that how they do things in western, liberal democracies? I don't think so. If you have so much 'love' for your minorities, why don't you drop the word Islamic & practice 'seperation of the mosque & state' ?
And you claim minorities live a better life in your country when you legally discriminate against them ?
You guys ahead from China, in your dreams. Do provide authentic sources for your claims? If you don't know what China is doing in a certain field, it doesn't make you ahead of them in that field.
More cheerleading as expected
India is ahead of China in Fast Breeder Reactors- China is still in experimental stage with there 65 MWt fast Breeder reactor, while our 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder reactor is nearing commission. Standardized designs for the 600 MWe commercial fast Breeder reactor has been prepared as a part of our three-stage nuclear program.
India is often considered as world leader in Thorium fueled reactors (third stage of Indian nuclear program) & we has already designed Thorium fueled AHWR- 300 reactor. We also have Molten Salt loops at BARC for research purposes & has completed the conceptual design of a 1000MWe 'Indian Molten Salt Reactor' as a possible alternative to AHWR. China's first 10MWt, Thorium fueled Molten salt reactor would be complete only by 2020.
World's third largest solid rocket booster was developed by India for GSLV Mark III launcher, And another one with 300 tonne propellent loading is presently being developed, which is larger than the world's second largest SRB.
You can keep cheerleading, though.
Why utter non-sense, because you guys think you have mastered the whole technology on your own. Do try to do some research and see how much help you got from USSR and later Russia and west European countries in all spheres of space technology.
Oh yes, Before each launch from Sriharikota, you can see flying Antonov An-224s flying into Chennai airport with the required Western/ Russian technology. Dude, we are one among leading space-time faring countries. If we don't have the technology, who has ?
We developed world's third largest SRB, thanks to the research we've put in from the Sounding rocket days of ISRO which graduated into 9 tonne propellent loading, SLV 1st stage in 1979.
We developed CE-7.5 despite technology denial with our own efforts, and has graduated to 200 tonne Cryo engine.
The legacy of our entire INSAT/GSAT series traces back to the APPLE technology demonstrator satellite developed in .
Same way, our entire EO satellite program originated from Remote sensing payloads on Bhaskara, graduating to IRS-1 satellite & maturing to 0.64 m resolution Cartosat -2E in 2016.
Same with Navigation systems, latest generation of INS for Indian launchers based on Indian developed Ring Laser Gyro owes much to the DTG based systems in the 80s.
It was quite a journey from SLVs & ASLV to PSLV, GSLV Mk 1, 2 & 3 and now the upcoming ULV.
If you're adamant in finding instances of foreign help, there is license production of French Sounding rockets in the early 70s or sourcing of Tooling for Cryogenic stage from Aerospatiale.
Is that help ? Even US/USSR received more help from German experts in the post-war period.
