This is the effect of lack of accountability and law & order plus a lack of religious awareness among BD muslim youth. A muslim simply can NOT take part in non-muslim festivities. To each his own but secularists in muslim lands seem to forget that when they try to impose non-muslim customs on Muslims. And festivals like holi that also leads to harassment of women should NOT be allowed in public space but should be restricted to private premises and this won't infringe on freedom of religion. Even a hindtuvadi government in India is taking precautionary steps to prevent sexual harassment of females during holi:

The loons who attacked the muslim sister seem to be awami thugs or irreligious loons low on morals. Lets see what the police do in this case. Hope these thugs will be tried under the due process of law.
Regardless of whether its religious or cultural, a Muslim can NOT partake in non-muslim festivities. And culture is not a good enough justification in islam, any practices, cultural or not, that have unislamic elements, is prohibited for a Muslim. And holi has explicit pagan origins and is a pagan festival.

With all due respect, I have absolutely 0 problem with you or any non-muslim celebrating their festivals in BD and Islam grants that freedom to non-muslims. But the state, media and public space should not promote such festivals in a Muslim country. Sadly, BD is a secular country, but even then at the very least it is expected of the government that Muslim women are protected in public spaces from the inevitable consequences of such festivals.
It seems you are taking a gibe at the Muslim women who is a victim here and OP. SO based on that assumption I have to say the following. If my assumption is wrong then the following is NOT for you:
You seem to have a deep hatred for everything Islam & muslim. If i am not wrong you are an liberal secularist and an assad apologist, right? Why do you want to force a pagan festival on Muslims? More importantly did it occur to you that the Muslim women in question was a victim of harassment in this case?
Btw if you do NOT know, let me tell you - yes Islam does encourage environment & guidelines where a Muslim's faith is safeguarded and NOT attacked. Its NOT weak faith but fairness & justice to some muslims having weak faith. Otherwise many such muslims with below par intellectual capacity may lose their faith under the overwhelming influence of kufr and become RoadRunners running after their ever elusive liberal anti-islamic Utopia.
If you can spare some time from running and want to learn, this is for you :

Regardless of whether holi is cultural or NOT, its a non-muslim festival and as such its not permissible for a muslim to take part in it.

And holi has pagan origins with a lot to do with honor of Hindu god
Vishnu and unislamic concepts like immortality, reincarnation etc:

With all due respect, you have your religion and I have mine. Islam grants non-muslims the right to celebrate and practice their religion
within their respective communities. But as a Muslim I have a problem with celebration like holi occurring in public space. Remember BD is a secular country and at the very least Muslims being majority here can expect government to ensure protection from such harassment in public space.
And yes New year & valentines is also NOT permissible for a Muslim as per Islam.
Would NOT have been a problem if those positions and promotions were given on merit and NOT to appease India in the expense of BD muslim's national interest.
