The match was leveled by Pakistan 3-3 in the last minutes of the game following which Indian players lost their temper and attacked Pakistani players.

i hope this is your 1000's post with the same bold faced words.
come on brother look at my earlier post. you do not seem to have a good eye sight to spot the good members/posts here at PDF

it is a regrettable incident...i hope it is not repeated. The players should go on TV and apologize to the Pakistani team. Then the issue would be resolved in satisfactory fashion.

why should they attack an opposing team just because a goal is scored against them? it is indians who should be angry and outraged

Guys...condemn violence in sports....even with your arch enemy....if you are so brave come to the battlefield and show your balls.....This is applicable to both of us....utter non sense from both the players....

Bunbury (Australia): Tournament Director Graham Napier on Saturday banned Indian hockey team manager, assistant manager and three players for matches ranging from one to five while Pakistan captain Shakeel Abbasi was banned for one match for the violent clash between Indian and Pakistani players during a match of the tri-nation hockey series on Friday.

It is to be mentioned here that hockey ground of Busselton turned into battle field when Pakistani and Indian player indulged in physical fight after an Indian player hit a Pakistani player with his hockey stick.
The players of the two arch rivals nations attacked each other with fists, kicks and hockey sticks after exchanging of heated arguments in the last moments of the game, when Pakistan leveled the score after goring down 3-0. When Pakistan leveled the score through a penalty corner in the last moments of the game, Indian players got angry and one of them hit a Pakistani player Muhammad Imran with his stick that led to the fight. Following the fight the match had to be abandoned over a minute earlier the allotted time.

According to the bans, it is clear that the indian team was at fault.

so, any video footage emerged yet?

surely some official or even mobile phone camera video from audience??

Hi,

The one who broke the teeth should be permanently banned from the sport-----. That is an aggravated assault----the other player who hit the pakistani [player on the knee must be banned for at least a minimum of one year from the sports----the indian assistant manager must also be permanently banned for his involvwmwnt.

The managers are there to take charge and not to participate. Whomsoever instigated it must pay the penalty.

this is the reason why nearly everyone in the world hates indians. they are extremely unlikeable people. they are arrogant, rude, obnoxious, self-absorbed, spiteful and vindictive.

the indian cricket team is just like every other indian sports team, when australia whips them, the indians turn into rapid animals.

indians are a very primitive bunch of people, their society is full of these people.

Now I wouldn't say that. Where you have this Indian hockey team you also have Rohan Bopanna (Aisam-ul-Haq's partner). At times it does seem like that the Indians are a bit too pompous and are forgetting their place but thats just the ones making too much of hullabaloo, as is the case in this forum as well. They are bound to be noticed. Personally some of my best friends have been Indian and they are some of the nicest people I have ever known. Every where there are idiots and then there are the good ones. Sadly its always the idiots that hog the attention.

That said arrogance and a 'pseudo belief in a glorified self' is usually noticed in many Indian athletes. Be it cricket, hockey, volleyball or any other sport. Or maybe thats just the attention they are given at home showing.

Two 5 , and 5 match suspensions were handed to pathetic hot head Indian players , and their coach also was suspended for their part in the fight

The tournament organizers in Australia reviewed the video and handed out the suspensions

Pakistan was losing and made the score 3-3 which made the indian players attack a Pakistani player

Players have been fined on Indian side and case is closed quite a pathetic display by Indian players:sick:

Pakistani player should sue the Indian players who attacked him with hockey resulting in bodily damage and put them in prison for attack with weapon in game

A hit with weapon (hockey intentional attempt to harm which results in bodily damage) should be followed up with a law suit and police charge - Pakistani team should not calm things down and open a police investigation and put charges on the other player who attack the player

By the way a moment to appreciate Pakistani team Shabaz (a.k.a Maradona of Pakistan Hockey from 90s)
