HMS Queen Elizabeth and the Carrier Strike Group conducted 3-day exercise GallicStrike2021 with French carrier in the Mediterranean. Including 15 ships and 57 aircraft including French Rafales and Hawkeyes, USMC and British F-35B jets operating together.

If life was that simple. China have 50℅ of those exaggerated numbers. NATO have diverse equipment while china has all local made, highly integrated and connected equipments under one command and control. China have its backdoor to defend while NATO have more than two continents to defend. Also the US is the only major power in NATO, once US is hammered, the rest will chicken away.

For other than projecting power to countries that cannot defend themselves, aircraft carriers are utterly useless. They are "sitting ducks" if there really is conflict. Aircraft carriers were the thing about 20 years ago, not today.
