HIT reveals new information on Al Khalid-I MBT

. . .
Pak Army should invest heavily in cutting edge laser tech.

There can be a launching bay within the tanks capable to launch mini-drones equipped with deadly laser. They can disable the track and other equipment outside of the tanks.

Perhaps other kind of drones that are capable of clogging engine exhaust thus stopping the movement. Maybe some kind of chemical that makes the engine/exhaust impotent.

.
One For smoking marijuana, second for Naswar, third one is an exhaust pipe

PS : They are snorkels for amphibious operations.
Hey what do you think Why we are testing MBT-3000 and is MBT-3000 Al Khalid II ? @Horus @Horus

.
Maybe multi-functional drones that are capable to stick some kind of gel onto driver optics/optical periscope and are capable to shoot too if and when the tank crew gets out :azn:

A bit bigger drones than Hummingbird.

There are no delusions there.

This has been discussed by senior members from both sides.

Al Khalid-1 easily surpasses Arjun...and is right up there with Arjun-II.

Basically, there are three basic categories of tanks.

Armor
Mobility
Firepower.

Al Khalid-1 surpasses Arjun in mobility and firepower. Arjun scores well in armor.

Arjun with the big hole in the front ? I bet even a 12.7 would penetrate it..

just noticed how stable AK is while turret rotating, its old video !

Adding fuel to the fire.......

few things i overlooked the first time, here are some observations. Perhaps we are looking at the first CAD model of Alkhalid 2 mbt. Here is why..

look at the early Alkhalid, notice the turret is smaller compared to the CAD models, also note marked differences in CAD images.. In the first image, we see....

1. Thicker gun mantlet compared to current Alkhalid

2. Thickened frontal composite armour

3. Most noticeable feature, thickened composite on turret sides, also notice the turret basket installed AFTER the turret side armour, the original Alkhalid only has high hardened sheets at turret sides so side armour is indeed there

4. Notice turret roof armour is also thickened, notice the shadow behind the Dog house (gunner sights)

5.More noticeable is the engine compartment, longer than the current compartment, suggesting a bigger engine as mention by HIT chairman in his interview.

6. Notice longer turret and longer barrel, perhaps 52 calibre this time instead of the original 48 calibre

Another view of the same model, same changes are visible

For comparison, here is the original Alkhalid turret..

P.S: Didnt HIT Chairman mention 6 changes? ;)

Well we would know in IDEX 2014 is this true

. .
I think the new alliance is calling for JV and R&D between Pakistan and Turkey along with Malaysia and Indonesia. More over, there would China, Korea and other countries too.
