My problem is not with the reservation but the people who are getting it ,that's true but not for a reason you mentioned.
I want the reservation to reach the right balit or who ever it is.
If there are 50 openings I want it to go to a dalit who needs it most in the dalits not a well to do dalit .
If you look at the reservation people who have benefited are the same people who have been benefited before ,a father who has come up in life using reservation why would his son need reservations, give it to next dalit family who are below them and that's how you bring everything out .not by father using it then son then his grandson.
Over the years, the upper castes scum in India have used a variety of ways to undermine the reservations for the Dalits in India.
First they started with the argument: "Would you be treated by a doctor that secured only 50% and got admitted into Medical College?"
Then they started the argument of "fairness"? Is it fair that an upper caste who gets 90% marks in school does not get admission while a lower caste with 50% marks gets it?
After this, the argument was, "Only the rich dalits are getting the benefits, the poor dalits are not getting any benefit"
Nowadays, the latest line is "Reservation was intended for a limited time and not forever"
The problem as always, is not with reservations, but "who" is getting the reservations.
Mark my words, once they are done with making Muslims in India as non-citizens, they will go after the Dalits and end their reservations and reduce them to the same status they have for centuries.
BTW RollyPolly - you never continued our debate on UCC that you were so looking forward to?
