If you are referring to the battle of Jamal, then you should know that Umm-ul-Mo'mineen رضى الله عنها regretted her decision to take active part in politics and repented for it. After the battle of Jamal she cried for the rest of her life and regretted that decision.
As for her knowledge she did not impart it in a public setting. Rather, she stayed inside her home and imparted her knowledge privately through her male relatives. And if a male who is not her relative came to her for knowledge, she spoke to him from behind a curtain as per Holy Qur'an's instruction.
Sayyida Khadijah رضى الله عنها was a businesswoman, but she did not herself engage in business travels in public, rather she delegated that responsibility to males. This is why she hired our beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and delegated responsibility to him to represent her on trade journeys to Shaam.
