His actions were directly responsible for widening rift between Muslims and other communities of British India.

its been more then 60 years since india got independence yet things like gujrat incidents are a frequent case, still blame jinnah for it??

No.. Because it was Jinnah who instigated those feelings in the first place to gain relevance in the post independence scenario.

When India gained independence, and adopted a secular constitution, we knew there would be problems along the way, as we are such vast diverse country, encompassing people of so many faiths.

Where as Pakistan achieved near homogeneity, with almost entire population being Muslims, So why aren't you at peace?
You couldn't even coexist with your Bengali brethren, who were of same religion as you, just different ethnicity.

Hatred begets hatred, when you teach your people hate a community (in this case 'Hindus') because they different from 'you'. The cycle of violence will continue even when Hindus are no longer in picture.
You would want to kill anyone, who is even slightly different from you.
