AFSPA is very much fine. Crazy individuals with vile intentions would do stuff with or without it no matter what happens. That is an individual basis case. AFSPA cannot be amended and will not be amended. The whole reason is the provide the common soldier some level of immunity from the deranged and sold out self appointed "Human Rights" scum. These are nothing but political arms of western bigshot politicos claiming this and that. We don't give a jackhorse about it nor we should.

This spineless and anti-national government of ours tried to liquefy the AFSPA last year and dilute some of its core rules. The generals vetoed and entire Indian public was relieved.

This is why we are praying for 2014 when this dirt we call a government gets kicked out before any further damage happens to the national institutions.

Afspa is fine to you bcaz you are not getting affected by it. Just forget J&k for the time being, ask the people of north eastern india. Now the mass graves in kashmir, rapes / violence etc, this is what people get from your beloved army enjoying afspa.

Exactly...if you want to rise up against Indian state you also have to face the consequences..AFSPA being the primary one.

My city has an Army camp, Airforce Camp, CRPF Camp and very soon a BSF camp is coming . In all there may be as much soldiers in my city as a 'disturbed area', yet I don't see the soldiers much except for the occasional one out to buy some provisions for the camp. So the moral of the story is keep to yourself and help keep the soldiers in barrack.
