Hindu religious leader admits involvement in Malegaon blasts​

NEW DELHI: Dayanand Pandey a Hindu religious leader has admitted his involvement in the Malegaon blasts, officials said.

Media reports quoting Additional Commissioner of Police (Anti-Terrorism Squad) Parambir Singh in Mumbai on Tuesday said Pandey has confessed to his involvement in the Malegaon blasts.

All precautions have been taken to ensure that his confession is admissible in court, Singh said.

Pandey was arrested from Kanpur on November 12. He was charged with conspiring with prime accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Colonel Prasad Purohit to conduct the blasts outside a mosque in Malegaon in which eight people were killed.

Pandey had attended several meetings with other accomplices for planning the blasts.

Purohit had helped Pandey in getting weapons and explosives for the blasts. The police said they had recovered a pen drive and laptop from Pandey that contained audio and video clippings which revealed his meetings with his accomplices.

Congress party is on a witch-hunt to prove that there is hindu terrorism to get Muslim votes, it is all a gimmick. Till now they haven't shown one iota of evidence implicating them apart from self-confessions. IMO this case will hardly stand in a court.
