Over 700 Pakistanis got Indian citizenship

NEW DELHI: More than 700 Pakistanis have acquired Indian citizenship in the last three years, the Lok Sabha was informed Tuesday.

In a written answer, Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran said while 321 Pakistanis got the citizenship in 2009, the figure dropped to 150 in 2010 but rose to 300 in 2011.
The government rejected 31 applications in 2009, 54 in 2010 and 14 in 2011.

Among Afghans, 284 became Indian citizens in 2009. The figure dropped to nine in 2010 and rose to 14 in 2011.

I Have been to India quite a few times as we have a bunch of relatives some where around Banglore and Mumbai .although i got a chance to visit many places and met a lot of people ,made few friends. I Use to have a same feeling bout indian muslims as most of us have in pakistan like muslims of india are left behind not living a better life and even told byur our elders that most of the Hindus in india are Anti-muslims and hindu-muslims do not get along well with each other but i have to admit its nothing but all garbage talks which is carried out about India muslims As most of the hindus and muslims are live and get along quite along well and i hardly see any fights between them. this is due to adaptability of being an indian ... Most of the muslims i have seen are well educated and living quite a decent there .

Indians in real are very conservative people most of them i found are tolerant people . about muslims hindu relations in some parts they fight but they do not kill each other in the name of religion .

The problem is the politics especially of Saffron brigade and that compelled all the Indians to try to save their acts when it is being criticized by out side and especially from across the border. Yes problems are genuine and i think we got late or could not come out from the baggage of partition to streamline our minorities especially the Muslim community.

Guys we must understand that India is not as good as it is made out to be and Pakistan is not as bad as it seems.

But still i do agree that there is a thin line which separates hindus and muslims. but it is not that bad as my fellow pakistanis think.

Because you haven't seen them fighting means they're all in peace there. Great logic. After partition hundereds of Anti Muslim Riots and thousands of slaughtered muslims are all voided because Mr. Abu Mazhar has not witnessed them by his own eyes.
