Bangalore, January 09: Top RSS leader Dr Manmohan Vaidya on Saturday clarified that Swami Aseemanand who is purported to have made a confessional statement about Hindu terror has never held any post at any level in the RSS.
The reports published in the media about the confessional statement by Swami Aseemanand mentioned him as a RSS leader. This is misleading and mischievous, he stated in a release.
Vaidya said Aseemanands statement was full of contradictions and will be contested in the court of law.
However, the manner in which some of the information was selectively leaked to the media confirms our suspicion on the intentions of investigating agencies and their masters. It is clearer that their objective is to malign the image of some individuals and organisations and we condemn their designs, he added.
RSS has repeatedly made it clear that it neither believes in, nor supports any activity involving violence or terror, he asserted.
