The only viable solution is PRIVATIZATION. It's not the 50s where state used to run commercial institution. Any improvement under the state's lack of business interest model is only temporary. Privatize PIA and lure new airlines to keep a check on the cartalization.

Poor reporting ....It is low fuel cost that has lead to profits...

The low fuel cost is equally available to all airlines. PIA enjoying no subsidy

Fuel surcharge is still being taken from passengers that was to compensate for the high fuel costs. This is indirect form of subsidy, more over all other airline in the world have shown profits and have attributed these to low fuel costs. Except for Arab and Iranian airlines no airline enjoys subsidy on fuel. Even KSA does not give subsidy to private airlines on fuel.
