i have maintained that income tax is a coercive practice and that the govt's have no right to take a cut from your legal , halal earnings, however, there is a very disturbing trend being observed and highlighted in social media as seen in pakistan

big shops, retail outlets, clothing outlets etc are charging 17 % GST on their sales to customers and ARE NOT PAYING IT to the government .

like WTF is going on here , this is nothing but highway robbery . you are plainly looting people and making a 17 % profit based on a LIE .

i will fully support FBR to crack down and arrest these chors .!!

Firstly the halal portion of your sales is only your sales part , Sales tax is not part of that Halal Earning

Secondly the businesses who do not report the income and once discovered such businesses are "shut down" after a initial Financial Penalty if they don't follow

a) It is a massive loss to loose a business worth 3 Core Rupee for over few lakh rupee Sales Tax
b) It puts the corrupt businessman quickly on path to sleep on roads


Also such businesses are tracked audited more closely for next 5-7 years

Typically an audit is time consuming and if Government's Accounting firm objects to receipts and reporting it turns into Financial Fines

Using Auditing Tools it is very easy for Government Tax officers to track a anomaly in Tax reporting


Tax Auditors

a) Have Special Software to identify a corrupt file from middle of 10,000 files
b) They can check the Business Account to verify month to month reporting
c) They can also check money transfer
d) They can also track any Property recently being purchased
e) They can also Hire a Auditor (Accounting firm) to check your practice of maintaining
receipts they physically come and check your monthly records of receipts
f) They are always listing to Tax Theft Calls and Reports who is stealing Sales Tax
g) Now Government can indirectly track business by tracking how much Raw goods you buy over 50,000 rupee requiring National ID Card

The question is: how come the details of money being charged to customer is not being forwarded to FBR?

Govt should crackdown, how long we ll bag for loans to pay our bills. Every loan has harmful terms. If people read the terms and condition they will be shocked. How much interest govt pay and on what terms these loan amount release in parts.

what surprised me more is what is in the highlighted than the rest of the post. Govt has no right to take a cut from your income!!! what the fcuk did I just read!!!
I am sure you also believe that every household should build their own road, run their own sewage and water lines, produce their own electricity, take their garbage to landfill and etc etc and lot more fcuking ETCs

Can anybody explain to me how income tax is haram? Every single country in the world has income tax. You earn an income, pay your rightful tax on it.

Taxation has existed in Islam since the very early days. Income tax is not haram.
